Monday- Continued on GB. The blitz. The bombing of London by the German army. Lasted for 57 nights. Children and elderly were moved to countryside. Food rationing. Typical weekly ration: one egg, 4 oz. of margarine and bacon, 2 oz. of butter and tea,

Great Britain had barely any people killed in the war compared to anybody else. The children and elderly were taken to the country side because most of the bombing was happening in the big cities. 

They were part of the allies.
