In the last 2 years about 26.2 million people around the world have gotten plastic surgery. People may ask why do people get it, or when did it even start, how did they even come up with plastic surgery? What are some of the most common plastic surgeries? I will talk about all of these questions that people have. Starting on when it got popular and when it started.
Plastic surgery started a long time ago, around 800 B.C. The plastic surgery they did back then was just a simple reconstructive and work on the skin, grafts were used in Ancient India to make them. But in 1460 A.D, the first known medical text for plastic surgery procedures was created and the precursor was called a "nose job.” Then in the 1700s Western doctors visited Eastern nations and began bringing back procedures to Europe, where the practice began to develop into the specialty we know today. Then over the 1700s people started using skin grafting more often, then in 1827 the first cleft palate operation was performed in the New World. Then the 1800-1900s Wars in different areas of the world became the driving force for plastic surgery developments. Then in the 1930-1940 The American Society of Plastic Surgeons was founded, as well as the American Board of Plastic Surgery, to make plastic surgery better. But in 1962 A woman in Texas became the first person to receive silicone breast implants.
Now I'll talk about what's the most common plastic surgery. Well a lot of people get the same plastic surgery but which one? The top cosmetic surgeries are breast augmentation which are increasing the size of the chest area, liposuction are decreasing the waist part making you look skinny, nose reshaping is decreasing the size of your nose, eyelid surgery which is removing a skin part of your eyelid, and facelift is removing the wrinkles from your face. But remember this affects about 26.2 million people that get it, and it doesn't always go well. For example people can get infection from it if not properly done well by the surgery, usually this happens outside of the United States because other countries don't have the machinerie like the U.S. has. Also about 93 people have died from it during 2009–2022 U.S. citizens died after receiving cosmetic surgery in the Dominican Republic.
What I think about this is I don't think people should get it in general, but if it is for the better of them maybe they should. People can't really control what they do to their own body so if they want to look really good go ahead but I personally don't like it. For the risk it has that it could look bad on you and costing a lot of money to do it, I just don't think it's worth it to mess up your whole body for face just to look good, and the other risk of dying for it. But what are your thoughts on it?
What do you think about this ?
Should people keep doing plastic surgery or should they stop it?
Would you ever get plastic surgery?

i find plastic surgury a generally grey area topic because there are the morally good implications such as cleft pallat and deformity replacements but on the other side of the coin there is the conceted and shallow "make me look hot" surguries that are just to "fix" looks and dont change anything other than their looks.
I believe plastic surgery is a bad thing because some people can be affected by it. If people need plastic surgrey than I think they should get it but if you don't need it then you probably shouldn't get it. I don't think I will ever get plastic surgrey since it can be dangerous.
In my opinion, plastic surgery is unreasonable but if people want to get it then that’s their choice. I agree that too much of it can make you look non-human or if it goes wrong it can also look really bad.
I beileve that plastic surgery is not a good thing. It is not good for the body at all. It is injecting plastic into yourself and its a foreign substance. I think people should stop using plastic surgery because it looks fake and it isnt healthy and doesnt look good in my opinion.
I disagree that it is unhealthy in every way . it could possiblly make someones mental health inprove becuase of how insecure they have felt about themselves. But in phyical wise yes i agree with you it could really harm you.
I do not think plastic surgery is good for anybody as it is a foregin object in your body that isn't really helping you out or saving you in a way. I think people should stop the process overall as more and more people are getting it, leading to more sickness and high, unrealistic standards.
What do you think about this ? I think that it's not good for you body Should people keep doing plastic surgery or should they stop it? i think they should unless if the have a major flaw like a cleff lip or injury Would you ever get plastic surgery? no I wouldn't
I don't like plastic surgery in general. I believe it makes people look weird and fake because most people I've seen that have gotten plastic surgery come out looking worse than before. People need to accept the body they were born into and love themselves. Not change their appearance to get people to like them. People should also stop getting plastic surgeries because as I said before people need to love and accept themselves. And no, I will never get plastic surgery.
I agree with this because a lot of people on social media that do get plastic surgery, half of the time they looked worse than they did before. I agree with people just needing to accept who there are as a person and not to be judge by their looks. Also a lot of people do say that they wouldn't get plastic surgery because they think its a wast of money.
What do you think about plastic surgery? I think it can be a good thing for some people but is often taken to far. It can make you look fake or even worse than how you started. Would I ever get plastic surgery? No, I would never get plastic surgery because it is very expensive and a waste of money. I think all people should keep, their bodies how God made them but It is up to the patient.
