MJ or LeBron, GOAT?

People have been wondering for years, decades on who is better: Micheal Jordan or Lebron Raymone James. There are so many concepts that MJ is better but same for Lebron, like people would say that Mj never loses a NBA Championship. But Lebron beat the record for being the oldest player in the NBA (currently) and also beating the most career points ever with 38,390 points and still going. It just shows that both of these stars changed the way of basketball and made the game better. But the question is, who made it better? The debate about who is the true "G.O.A.T."-Between Michael Jordan and LeBron James has been a hot topic of debate for years.

Michael Jordan, with his six NBA championships and perfect 6-0 Finals record, is often celebrated for his unmatched competitiveness and clutch performances. His influence transcended the basketball court, turning him into a global icon and helping to elevate the NBA's popularity worldwide. Jordan's scoring, defense, and leadership level have not been matched, in sheer legacy and influence over the game. His Air Jordan brand remains one of the largest in sports, forever placing him in that context of cultural and sporting lore.

On the other hand, LeBron James is credited with having an amazing career that has lasted for more than two decades, characterized by versatility, basketball IQ, and sheer leadership.Four NBA championships with various appearances at the Finals demonstrate how dominant he has been from different teams at different eras. Adaptation of the game and maintaining elite-level performances to his 40th year speak more about longevity than work ethic, though it should be credited equally. But for his achievements in the court and beyond that  of an activist person, this sets the seal in the G.O.A.T. case. Although some may believe Jordan's legacy cannot be touched, LeBron's well-rounded game and continued greatness are the stronger case to earn him the title of G.O.A.T. Lebron forever 💗

  • There is no question that MJ is the goat, he evolved the game in many different ways. He has the most sold shoe of all-time, and has played multiple sports. All good athletes have played multiple sports at various levels, Mj dropped his basketball carrer during his prime to pursue playing in the MLB. He was able to make the AA team, and post a .202 batting average.

  • I think that Michael Jordan is still the Goat, because he has more championships than Lebron. Lebron has appeared in 10 championship games, but only came home with 4 rings. On the other hand, Michael Jordan has appeared in 6 championships and walked awy with 6 rings. He has more championships than Lebron, in less championship appearances.

    • I agree with you, MJ has 6 championships in just 6 appearances which is noticeable when comparing him to a player like Lebron, who has had more chances but hasn't won as many. Jorden also left his prime in basketball to go play baseball and still came back and won more rings.

      • I like that you included his championships. I think it is crazy that he has won so many in just 6 apperances. I also think it is very interesting that he left to play baseball, and came back and continued to win more rings.

        • I also think it is crazy to think that he left the NBA to go play baseball and then not much longer after he came back and continued to play basketball. And adding on to that, the fact that he still got so far in basketball even after playing baseball for a little bit.

  • I think that the only reason that this is a question is because Michael Jordan went to college. Michael jordan missed 3 years of his prime NBA days, because he went to college. The reason that lebron has played for 22 seasons is because he didn't play 3 years in college like MJ. This is important because Lebron has played almost 450 more games than Michael Jordan. However, Michael Jordan is only 9,000 points behind Lebron, if MJ would have played those final 450 games he would be ahead of lebron in scoring by 4,500 points.

    • I agree with you. This does show that LeBron has had more experiance. It also shows that they have both worked really hard, even MJ who missed 3 whole years of playing in the NBA to go to college.

  • Oh my glorious king Lebron, where do I even begin. Lebron has secured his place in my heart as the GOAT of basket ball through his amazing perfomance even in his 40's. Oh how I wish I was aolder to comprehend my glorious lebron's prime. Alltogether let's just say MJ went to baseball for a reason.

    • I feel like you have a good point. But, I think MJ is better because even tho leBron is good MJ can work the ball and has amazing defense. That is why I disagree with you.

    • Even though LeBrons success even into his 40s is impressive, I still think MJ is the greatest. Jorden had a perfect 6-0 record in the Finals and even though Lebron had more appearances he didn't win as many. MJ also had a bigger effect on the game and changed it more than Lebron did which makes him, in my opinion the goat.
