Many people say that video games promote violence, especially parents. Parents have stated that violent video games affect their children, making them bully others at school, act out at home, and increase stress. Scientists have recognized this issue and decided to conduct an experiment. Children of the ages 9-12 and around 345 college students were assigned to either play a non violent or violent video game, those who played the violent video games showed more aggression and toxicity then those who played the non violent video games. I believe that it depends on the person who is playing the video game for it to have a negative or positive effect on them.
The university of Utah studdied this issue and relized that most of the vidoe games children promote killing in wars, criminal behavior, Bad language, sexual content, ect. They also state that depending on how much the child plays the game vaires the negitave impact on them.
The same cannot be said for those who played the non violent video games, some parents/guardians limited their kids to playing games like farming simulator, cooking simulator, ect and reported that their children started acting kinder towards kids at school and not having attitude or acting out towards their parents. Though this is good, a majority of children are more focused on their video games than their school work. This causes their grades to start slipping when they don't realize, which is why I think the screen time should be limited to only weekends.
- Do you think video games promote violence?
- Do you think that nonviolent video games are better for children?

Some video games do promote violence but not all games are bad. Most people think violent games are more fun and interesting than non-violent games. Kids should be influenced to play more non-violent video games by parents to improve attitude, health and kindness towards others.
I think that violent video games negativly effect kids, but I also think it's possible that the bluelight from screens in general might have an affect on people. I do think that non-violent video games are better for children compared to violent one, but I also do think that kids should be out in the real world every now and then to live life away from screens.
I like your thinking! I somewhat agree with you that video games in general can affect people and that non violent video games are better for kids.
Do you think video games promote violence? I think yes and no. Yes because many of the games are surround with killing people to win. But on the other hand, they help with communication and skill. Either way, many kids enjoy them and it is a fun thing to do to pass time.
I think in a way, some video games can promote violence as studies have proven, but I also think that some other video games do not promote violence. So it really depends on the type of games you are playing. I think if parents are worried about a game making their child violent then they should be changing the type of game they are buying their children.
Do you think video games promote violence? No, I don't think that it is the game that promotes it it's the parents that should regulate what their kids play because they can often times be hard to look at because they have lots of gory scenes.
I agree with this because it could be the parents fault, letting their childern be on a game for count less hours. If I had a kid I would make them only have a certain time for them to be on a game so they don't go carzy over it.
I believe that video games can create violent behaviors. If thats all you know from a younf age it can trigger a familiar life style and that could be your solution for anger and frustration. If a child is consistantly playing games involving violence and attacking then it may rub off on his or her everyday behavior. I think that nonviolent video games are better.
Do you think video games promote violence? I would say no if you have a responsible kid who can control themselves. Do you think that nonviolent video games are better for children? I believe it would have no difference because little kids that will be affected by it shouldn't be playing video games at a young age.
