The first zoo was originally created for private users only because the wealthy thought that seeing exotic and cool animals should only be for them and not the lower class individuals. Unlike back then lots of people today are happily going and seeing the animals thrive in their habitats, but some people over the years have raised some concerns about if the animals are being treated in the right way. Or overall if the zoo is a safe environment for them to live in, but I do think that sometimes zookeepers if the animals are being rowdy and could potentially hurt them that it would be okay if the zookeepers had things to protect themselves.
I do understand that some people will think the zoo is just locking cute and cuddly animals into cages but they also should know that 80% of mammals that are in a zoo tend to live longer than the animals that are living in the wild. Plus zoos have been able to save 30 plus endangered species from extinction. And how they help with preventing extinction is that all zoos actively participate in breeding programs.
In conclusion I believe that zoo are not tutoring these animals but are actually helping them, because there's tons of information on how they breed their animals and how they have saved over 80 percent of animals because they have no predators unlike the wild setting dose because there are no poachers but friendly zookeepers that work with them everyday and care for them. So in my opinion I do believe that zoos help their animals rather than hurt them.
Do you think zoos hurt their animals rather than help?
Do you think zoos help endangered species?
Do you think zoo animals are getting the necessities they need that wild animals get

I agree with you bacause animals have a lot more things that they get from a zoo than what they would get in the wild.
I think zoos hurt their animals sometimes, but if they are injured and taken into captivity for recovery or they can't be released back into the wild, then the zoo would not be accountable for hurting the animals since they were actually helping them. Like I was saying before, zookeepers can help endangered species that would not survive if out in the wild longer.
I do agree with this because I think people saw animals mabye have an injury or a scratch on their body. So people may think that the animal keepers don't take care of there animals. I also agree with if the zookeepers andangered species that wouldn't survive out in the wild.
I agree with you because anything can happen to them foe instance they could get a scrach in the wild but if their in a zoo its concidered animal abuse.
I can see both ways. I think that yes they are in cages for there rest of there life and not going to be around where there actully supposed to be, but this can also help them, for example. in the zoo they are promised to be fed everyday, have social interactions.
I think zoos benefit and hurt animals in different ways. For instance, they don't have the free reign they used to have. On the other hand, the zoo keepers are protecting them for predators, feeding them, and nuturing them. The only bad thing about zoos is the captivity of the aminal. They aren't in their nautral habitiat, but are treated as if they were in a way.
I think it helps their species live longer and is helping the animals. But that's not always the case. They can be locked up for their whole lives, not being able to have a lot of exercise and use their instincts. Like I said before it can help endangered species, having a bigger lifespan than in the wild. It can go both ways, yes because they have plenty of food but they might be caged up for the years they are at the zoo, they can also get abused by their zoo keepers.
Do you think zoos hurt their animals rather than help? I think that zoos are helping animals. You said that 80% of mammals live longer in the zoo than in the wild, so I think the zoo is helping the animals. I think that zoos are helping animals, not hurting them.
i agree with you cause animals do live a lot longer and are helping endangered spicies.
Zoo can be helpful and harmful in some ways. Most love zoo's as the give people opportunities to see animals that they would not be able to if zoo's didn't exist. If we look on the flip side we can see how some people do not support zoo's as they feel that it is taking away the animals freedom and right to be in their natural habitats.
