Why schools should do a four-day week instead of a five-day week?

My first reason is that it would give people more time to sleep and do homework. If people don’t come to school on whatever day, then the schools don’t have to heat or cool the school on that day. It can give teachers extra time to figure out what they are doing for the week and come more prepared, also having all their students' grades in. It can give students more time to hang out with friends and family. Students can then work more at a job and make money so they can afford more school events and other things.

  • I believe that we should stick with having a five-day school week. This is because I believe it is way more beneficial for students that want to attend good colleges to go to school all five days in the week instead of four. An extra day a week gives more opportunities for every single student.

  • I think there are pros and cons of a four day school week. Some of the pros are having one more day of free time. Some of the cons is that we would have to stay at school longer like 8-5 because we need a certain amount of hours because the government makes you have a certain amount of hours on campus.

  • I think this sounds like a good idea in some ways, however I think we need 5 days of school. If we had 4 days of school it would give us more time to work. But we will work for most of our lives after high school and college. Plus, schools we are in now are preparing us for life, and that is a super important thing to learn.

  • I think we should go on a four-day week because it gives us another day to get ready for school and to give us another day to enjoy ourselves. Another reason why is that we should have four-day weeks is because it gives people a chance to get their bad sleeping habits under control.

  • I think a 4 day school week would really change people maybe even benefit certain people that struggle to get sleep. The 3 day weekend would allow students to get more work done on time and more sleep while concentrating better on their work. So maybe 4 day school weeks wouldn't be a bad things but I am perfectly fine with the normal 5 day school weeks.

  • I think it would be great, I think it would benefit us a lot because we would have more time to do our work and have all our tasks/homework completed, plus being able to spend a whole day with our family and/or friends, and rest from school and work.

  • It would be great to have weeks of only four days, I think it would be quite useful to have weeks like this, but not all of them because everything would be completely the same, they would not leave the necessary work for the weekend and we would work on what we could achieve during the week, but it would be great from time to time to organize ourselves with our work.

  • I think that it would be beniftial to both the studients and teachers. I think that it would be helpfull because it gives them a break and something to look forward to but it would also mean we whould have to make it up in the end.

  • I think a four day week would be nice for both students and teachers. I think it will be easier for students to adjust when theres less time in school and more time out of school. It will also reduce stress. I wouldn't mind having a shorter summer if there were longer weekends.
