History of Fast Foods

We all know about Fast Foods we all go and visit them sometimes maybe all the time like Burger King, Wendy's, McDonald but what was the main fast foods that everyone always visited well Most historians agree that the American company White Castle was the first fast-food outlet, starting in Wichita, Kansas in 1916 with food stands and founding in 1921, selling hamburgers for five cents apiece from its inception and spawning numerous competitors and emulators.

The Main person that created White Castle is "Billy Ingram" opened White Castle in Wichita, Kansas, in 1921, selling the iconic little burgers the family-owned business has become famous for. So easy to eat, they were dubbed "Sliders" and sold by the sack. Billy Ingram moved White Castle to Columbus in 1934 after buying out Anderson's share of the business. White Castle's founders decided to change the public's perception of hamburgers. They built their restaurants so that customers could see the food being prepared. They painted the buildings white and even chose a name that suggested cleanliness. White Castle was most popular in the American East and Midwest, but its success helped give hamburger meat a better reputation nationwide. So, like cars, White Castle played an important part in the development of fast food.

In 1921, Billy Ingram launched a family-owned business with $700 and an idea, selling five-cent, small, square hamburgers so easy to eat, they were dubbed Sliders and sold by the sack. In 2014, Time Magazine declared our iconic Original Slider the most influential burger of all time. Today our family-owned business sells the same humble, 100 percent USDA beef patty with onions and pickle, creating memorable moments for Craver generations everywhere. The only thing better than polishing off a Sack of Sliders alone, is doing it with friends. Could it get any better than that? White Castle. Because The Crave Is A Powerful Thing.

  • Good topic chooic and summary Enrique! I would like to see more of your thoughts within your summary. You also could have replied quite a few more times.

  • I have never been to White Castle, and didn't know it was a restaurant until I read this. My favorite fast food is probably Culvers because they have good ice cream or Chick FIl A because I like their food too. I don't know what I would prefer because I have naver had fast food from back then.

  • I have never visited White Castle, or even heard of it until today. I'm not a big fan of fast food, but if I chose a favorite, I would choose Chick-Fil-A. I probably would have preferred back thens fast food because it was cheaper and probably just as good.

  • I have never visited White Castle. My favorite fast food restaurant would have to be Chick-fil-a because they have really good chicken nuggets and sause. I would prefer fast food now more than from back then, mostly because it is what I'm more used to.

  • I haven't  ever been  to white castle, but I  have had their  sliders  and they are pretty good. My  favorite fast food  place is  probably McDonald's because they load their soft drinks up with an insane amount of sugar and they are really good.

  • I have never been to white castle, and I sometimes forget about it, but I have heard some people talk about it once and while. My favorite fast food might be like chick-fil-a or raising canes or something. I would rather have it now then back then.

  • I have never been to the white castle but I have had their frozen burgers before, the ones you can get at the store. My favorite fast food restaurant is McDonalds. I would prefer it now.

  • I have never visited White Castle. I don't think I have a favorite fast food place, I actually like to eat everything. I don't really remember fast food from before but from what I've heard, before it was more product so I guess I prefer the old one.

  • I have never been to White Caslte. I think that I have heard about it, and not good things. By favorite fast food place is either Freddy's or Panda Express. I think that these are good options. I'm not really sure if I prefer fast food now or back then, better.

  • I have visited White Castle before and it is a very good fast food resturant and they have a lot of good things to choose from. I don't have a favorite fast food resturant because I like a lot of them and wouldn't be able to choose one. Back then because their food would be a lot better and they took more care into it.
