Questions

1. What would you have done if you were on the bus?

2. Why do you think the semi was going toward in coming traffic?

Answers

1. If I was in the situation of the boys track team i would be very scared and nervous of knowing i could die or get very hurt. I would try to stay safe hiding behind the sits and try to help others stay calm.

2. I think the semi (18-wheeler) was heading in incoming traffic because he could have possibly fell asleep or he had some mental issues.

  • Good overall but be sure to comment three days not just two. Most of your comments were done on Friday.

  • I would have been very scared and tried to stay in a secure spot if the bus started rolling. The driver of the semi probably fell asleep at the wheel or was spacing off and not paying attention to the road.

  • Well it looks like it was pretty late so I pry would have been sleeping on the bus ride home. The truck driver could have been drunk or sleep deprived.

  • I would be very scared for the safety of the team, I also would be very confused and scared. The semi driver could have been very tired or had health problems.

  • I would be really scared if i was in this situation. I would be so confused and freaked out. I would probably be even more scared if i saw people that are hurt and bleeding because that stuff scares me. The 18-wheeler was most likely not focused on the road.

  • Ran the bus into the ditch if it was shallow enough and saved the kids. I think that he was probably very tired and fell asleep at the wheel.

    • I agree going in the ditch was pry to save all the kids for getting really hurt i'm sure the bus driver is very nervous because he had all those kids on there. Yes i also agree he was probably tired.

  • If I were on the track them as a boy I would have been so scared. I would also be very nervous for everyone on my team. I would have been freaking out and wondering how my team was and how everyone else in the crash was doing. I think that the semi could have gone head on in to incoming traffic for many different reasons. I know from experience that truck drivers have to swerve lanes to not hit something that could hurt their truck. I think that could have been one of many reasons. In my opinion I don't think he had mental issues because you have to have test before you can get you CDL to drive trucks. I think that he may have fell asleep behind the wheel.

  • I would be very scared and wouldn't know what to do. Maybe the driver of the 18 wheeler fell asleep or something.

  • If i was on that bus then i would be freaked out and my heart would stop because of fear. If i was on the girls bus then i would very saddened by the event. I think that he was probably distracted or swerved to miss something in the road. Maybe he was tired and hadn't found a place to pull over to take a nap or sleep for the night.
