Nearly 30% of high school students have been employed to a part time job during a portion of the school year. Most high school students work at local stores or restaurants in their town or towns near them. Some students even use knowledge from school in their job like a cna. The average paycheck for a part time student working is roughly $200 a week.
Having a job in highschool is a positive thing because it can teach students the Value or money. As well as having a good sense of what to do with your money it will teach you how to budget it too. Students will learn what needs and wants are. Getting a part time job after school can help you save up for college or your plans for the future. This can also help you with time management and help you create your own schedule. While there is a lot of pros there are also a lot of cons. Such as it can distract you or keep you from having the time you need to study. This can be a huge problem for some kids who aren't able to keep up during a regular school day or are in harder classes that require a lot more suddying. I believe that students should should get an after school job. I have one and I believe that it does not take away time from my family and my academics. Having a job in high school can help you learn skills you can use later in life or in college. I have learned a lot of life skills in my high school job that I can carry on to my future career. Overall I believe that students should have jobs in highschool because it will give them work experience they can use later in life and it can teach students the value of money and hard work. Even though some may say that it will take away from school work or family time. There is always certain jobs that will allow you to have free time or allow you to take time off if the need arises.

I agree with you, I also think having jobs has the oppertunity to teach lessons to students and how beneficial learning how to balance a schedule can be. Although I see now from your comment how leadership skills can also be affected and boosted from having a job.
I also strongly believe that an after school job can greatly improve your daily performance as a person, you learn to respect co-workers so you leanr to respect yourself and others, you learn to obey your higher ups, so you can implement that into your outside life aswell, you learn to get your tasks done quicker, more efficient, you also learn to value your free time much more and not waste it sitting on your phone, or something that is non-productive.
I do think that students should have a after school job, this is mainly on the focus point of, it teaches skills, social skills, and many other things that you can expect to encounter after gradeschool, it can give you that sense of what the low level workforce is like, how you operate within it, and it can give motivation too students to go further than just the low level workforce. I think that yes, jobs take away from family time and school time but that is also where you as a person need to learn how to schedule and plan accordingly, if you learn to do that efficiently then no, I do not think a job would take away from what you already have.
I strongly believe that they don't take away from school time because not all of the jobs are full-time right after school. You aren’t going to work everyday for long shifts late at night or early in the morning. People are just making a little extra money and learning to be responsible by having a job.
In my opinion, I think having a job in highschool can benefit you with many good things. As long as you know how to balance it between after school activities or family events. Jobs teach many skills like time mangement and responibility that could be very helpful in the future. Plus earning your hard earned money feels great and you can use that money for thing such as clothes, going out, or even saving up for college.
I agree with you, I think having a job is a very good things for High School students. It does teach them very good skills like responsibilities.
I also believe that having a job in high school could take away from school and family time. If your're working a lot of hours, its hard to keep up with your grades. Plus, sometimes you're to tired to focus in class or even hang out with your family. Family time is important but if your always working you might miss out on dinners, events, or just spending time together.
I think that students in high school should have a job, but only if they can handle it. Having a job teaches you responsibility, time mangement, and how to save your money wisely. Its also nice to have your own money so that you can use for things like going out with your friends or saving up for college.
In my opinion, getting a job in high school is very important because you learn valuable skills and earn money, but it is also important it doesn't affect how you do in school. I think a job can teach students how to manage their time, and it helps them gain work experience. However, some jobs might take away from family time or not have students focused on school as much. In the end, it's important for students to find a job that can fit into their schedule and lets them still have time with their families.
While I do think that high school students can benefit from having a job, I also think that it could be hard for some students to balance work, school, and their social life. This can especially be hard for students who are involved in sports or other extracurricular activities. Some students could find trying to balance all of these things extremely stressful, but for the students that can handle it a part-time job can offer good life skills.
