Abortion is a very controversial topic. Everyone has their own opinions about it and they base their opinions on many things. The two main sides to abortion are Pro-Choice and Pro-Life.
Pro choice is where you think abortion should be legal for anyone who wants one without reason. A lot of people say “My body, my choice.” They argue that they should be able to get an abortion without the government having a say over it. In 2022 over 609,000 people had an abortion. Abortion is legal in California, Colorado, Connecticut, and Delaware. Some states have a rule where you can only get it if you have not passed a certain week, while others you can get it whenever. 75% of people get an abortion because it was a mistake that they got pregnant and they are not able to care for the baby.
Pro life on the other hand is where you think it should be illegal unless medically necessary. Over 12% of people that have an abortion end up regretting it. In the end, having an abortion is ending the life of an innocent baby before they even have a chance to live because some people can make smart decisions. Abortion is already illegal in 41 states.
All abortions are bad, I believe that abortions should be illegal everywhere. Unless your life is at risk, you should have to go through with the pregnancy. You got pregnant therefore you can have the baby. There are so many things you can do after if you are unable to provide for the baby, but give them a chance to live a life like you and I. There are always people waiting to adopt and people that are unable to have kids of their own that would be more than happy to help raise that baby for you. Abortions are against my religion and are morally and ethically wrong.

Good topic choice and well done overall Ellie! I would have liked to have seen the history of abortion in the US which I did mention to you in class. There are two US Supreme Court cases that really should have been mentioned. You also could have checked back on Thursday evening and replied a few more times. This was also posted a but late.
I believe that abortion is horrible. Many people think the idea of it is wrong. A better option is to put the child up for adoption. I think abortions is just murder, They are taking a childs life away from them without letting it have a chance of life.
I think that abortions are a bad thing. Many religions are against it, and many think that it is just wrong. I would rather put the baby up for adoption than have an abortion. Women that have abortions are basically commiting murder. They are killing the baby without giving it a chance at life.
im a pro choice because if people want to abort the baby it should be their choice not the states and people are upset because they cant abort their child and meanwhile other states can the rest of them cant like how it this fair. I dont think all abortions are bad I think they actually help people until they are actually ready to have a child so this helps for most people.
I believe for the most part that abortions should be legal. If someone is raped that shouldn't have the bargian of dealing with the costs and expensive of delivering a baby in the first place. Having a baby without insurance can cost anywhere from 3,000-37,000 dollars. I don't belive people who were raped should have to pay these expenses just becauses people believe is should be banned.
I also agree the baby should have a chance to live. Like you said there are a lot of people willing to adopt or wanting to. Or just try to raise the baby and get a job.
I believe that abortion is bad but not all of them. It all depends on the situation. Like if someone were to get raped it wouldn't be fair for them to have to have the baby when they didn't decide to get pregnant. But on the other hand, If you decided to get pregnant and you were dumb then yes you should have to have the baby.
I agree with you I think in a situation where someone gets raped they should be allowed to get a abortion, any other cases I belive it should be banned but there is really no way to regulate that.
I also believe that almost all abortions are bad under one condition: if there are health risks for the women who is pregnant then I believe an abortion is somewhat justified. Although I still heavily disagree with the killing of innocent babies, I think at desperate times where there's no other choice then an abortion may be the correct decision.
I completely agree with you. If the mother was gonna die if she had the baby then I would let the familt talk it out.
