In the last 2 years about 26.2 million people around the world have gotten plastic surgery. People may ask why do people get it, or when did it even start, how did they even come up with plastic surgery? What are some of the most common plastic surgeries? I will talk about all of these questions that people have. Starting on when it got popular and when it started.
Plastic surgery started a long time ago, around 800 B.C. The plastic surgery they did back then was just a simple reconstructive and work on the skin, grafts were used in Ancient India to make them. But in 1460 A.D, the first known medical text for plastic surgery procedures was created and the precursor was called a "nose job.” Then in the 1700s Western doctors visited Eastern nations and began bringing back procedures to Europe, where the practice began to develop into the specialty we know today. Then over the 1700s people started using skin grafting more often, then in 1827 the first cleft palate operation was performed in the New World. Then the 1800-1900s Wars in different areas of the world became the driving force for plastic surgery developments. Then in the 1930-1940 The American Society of Plastic Surgeons was founded, as well as the American Board of Plastic Surgery, to make plastic surgery better. But in 1962 A woman in Texas became the first person to receive silicone breast implants.
Now I'll talk about what's the most common plastic surgery. Well a lot of people get the same plastic surgery but which one? The top cosmetic surgeries are breast augmentation which are increasing the size of the chest area, liposuction are decreasing the waist part making you look skinny, nose reshaping is decreasing the size of your nose, eyelid surgery which is removing a skin part of your eyelid, and facelift is removing the wrinkles from your face. But remember this affects about 26.2 million people that get it, and it doesn't always go well. For example people can get infection from it if not properly done well by the surgery, usually this happens outside of the United States because other countries don't have the machinerie like the U.S. has. Also about 93 people have died from it during 2009–2022 U.S. citizens died after receiving cosmetic surgery in the Dominican Republic.
What I think about this is I don't think people should get it in general, but if it is for the better of them maybe they should. People can't really control what they do to their own body so if they want to look really good go ahead but I personally don't like it. For the risk it has that it could look bad on you and costing a lot of money to do it, I just don't think it's worth it to mess up your whole body for face just to look good, and the other risk of dying for it. But what are your thoughts on it?
What do you think about this ?
Should people keep doing plastic surgery or should they stop it?
Would you ever get plastic surgery?

I think that it could be stopped, but I also think that it could stay but try to lower the numbers of people getting plastic surgery because that way it can reduce deaths to it. You could also just make it so that you can only get it unless it is to help you and not because you don't like the way you look. It is also just a straight waste of money in my view.
I think that plastic surgery is a waste of resources, money, and time. People need to accept that when you get old, your face changes. I think that plastic surgery is an industry that should be taken out of the U.S., because it is a waste and doesn't help anything.
I agree with this because people do spent way to much on plastic surgery and what for? Some of the time the surgery doesn't look all that good, in my opinion. I also agree with that people should just look the way they are right now. I don't think people should spend money for getting rid of wrinkles on their face just to look a little better.
I personaly wouldnt get plastic surgery and I think that there isnt a good reason for plastic surgery unless your skin is maybe preventing tou you to see or hear. I suppose people could keep getting plastic surgery IF equipment in use is very good and safe.
I would agree with this because if there is skin preventing you to enjoy life then mabye you have a reason to get plastic surgery. I would also not get plastic because its just a wast of money on something that doesn't really matter. It also expensive.
Should people keep doing plastic surgery or should they stop? In my opinion i belive that pople that have life changing events should beable to get plastic sergery because they can restruct the part that got disfigured but people who just get them to make themsevse more apeling should really think about how it could effect their lives because plastic sergery is not good to get it constely.
I think people should not get plastic surgery because it is a waiste of money and God made you that way so stay that way. Should people keep doing plastic surgery or should they stop it? I don't think they will ever stop doing it but I think they should stop. I would never get plastic surgery.
I agree with this because a lot of people wouldn't get plastic surgery because people may think it's a risk and don't really want to hurt there selfe's. I also think that people won't stop doing plastic surgery, and people will probably won't stop doing it.
I personally would not get plastic surgery, but I know that many people to get it for wrinkles and for what they say "helps them to be more confident." I don't think that they should stop plastic surgery because if people want it then its not our opinion to say they shouldn't.
I agree I think people get plastic surgery to make them look more confident or just to look better. I also agree with people arn't going to stop it because people can do what ever they want onto there body and no one can really stop them from doing so.
