In the last 2 years about 26.2 million people around the world have gotten plastic surgery. People may ask why do people get it, or when did it even start, how did they even come up with plastic surgery? What are some of the most common plastic surgeries? I will talk about all of these questions that people have. Starting on when it got popular and when it started.
Plastic surgery started a long time ago, around 800 B.C. The plastic surgery they did back then was just a simple reconstructive and work on the skin, grafts were used in Ancient India to make them. But in 1460 A.D, the first known medical text for plastic surgery procedures was created and the precursor was called a "nose job.” Then in the 1700s Western doctors visited Eastern nations and began bringing back procedures to Europe, where the practice began to develop into the specialty we know today. Then over the 1700s people started using skin grafting more often, then in 1827 the first cleft palate operation was performed in the New World. Then the 1800-1900s Wars in different areas of the world became the driving force for plastic surgery developments. Then in the 1930-1940 The American Society of Plastic Surgeons was founded, as well as the American Board of Plastic Surgery, to make plastic surgery better. But in 1962 A woman in Texas became the first person to receive silicone breast implants.
Now I'll talk about what's the most common plastic surgery. Well a lot of people get the same plastic surgery but which one? The top cosmetic surgeries are breast augmentation which are increasing the size of the chest area, liposuction are decreasing the waist part making you look skinny, nose reshaping is decreasing the size of your nose, eyelid surgery which is removing a skin part of your eyelid, and facelift is removing the wrinkles from your face. But remember this affects about 26.2 million people that get it, and it doesn't always go well. For example people can get infection from it if not properly done well by the surgery, usually this happens outside of the United States because other countries don't have the machinerie like the U.S. has. Also about 93 people have died from it during 2009–2022 U.S. citizens died after receiving cosmetic surgery in the Dominican Republic.
What I think about this is I don't think people should get it in general, but if it is for the better of them maybe they should. People can't really control what they do to their own body so if they want to look really good go ahead but I personally don't like it. For the risk it has that it could look bad on you and costing a lot of money to do it, I just don't think it's worth it to mess up your whole body for face just to look good, and the other risk of dying for it. But what are your thoughts on it?
What do you think about this ?
Should people keep doing plastic surgery or should they stop it?
Would you ever get plastic surgery?

I agree with this because some people change there whole body in oder to look good, and somethimes be taken to far. I do agree that it makes people look very differnet on what they were before almost making them look fake as a human.
I personally I think ageing is a gift from God so I think that it is not necessary for someone to get it. Unless in improves their health and state of being and it is very expensive too so some people might be spending too much money on their looks. I would never get plastic surgery because its not necessary for survival.
I agree with this because how you were made as a person, you should be happy the way you look, a gift people would say. People do get plastic surgery because they really don't like the way they look, or because they had a past injury that's makes them look a little differnet on what they were before.
I personally would never get a facelift or liposuction, but that dosen't mean others shouldn't. Plastic surgery is a big industry that impacts lots of Americans, and brings plenty of people confidance in their bodies that they didn't have before.
I belive that plastic surgery is just a joke. I think this because many people who arent happy with their bodies want plastic surgery and end up getting it, putting more money in the hospitals pockets. Instead i belive that plasic surgery should be researched further and improved. If this does happen it can definetly aid our military and the injured citizens of the USA.
I have to disagree with you when you say plastic surgery is a joke. People should be able to do whatever they want to with their bodies, and most aren't putting any money in hospital's pockets, as most (if not all) plastic surgeons work in private clinics. Getting rid of the industry would also rob many plastic surgeons of their income.
What do you think about this ? I think that God made our bodies the way they should be and that we don't need to alter them. However, if someone feels like they should change themselves then I think that they should be able to if they can afford it. Would you ever get plastic surgery? I don't think I would but if I did want to then I would probably get my nose fixed because I have broken it 2 times.
I agree with this because people shouldn't change the way they look either to look good for someone or social media. I agree with that God made us the way we are, in other people eye's mabye they think your are just perfect the way you are. People would mabye get plastic surgery because of a past injury.
I personally don't think that there is anything wrong with plastic surgery because it doesn't hurt anyone but I do think that sometimes it is not worth it because of howexpensive it is and the risks involved. It does help some people that are very insecure but most of the time it's not something really important.
I don't think people should get plastic surgery, to an extent. I understand that a lot of people do thinks like sports where they break a bone, a nose for example. When you break a nose, that affects the way you breathe out of your nose. Many get plastic surgrey to fix this.
