  • I think that Januray 6th was a very controversial and violent day for the people of the U.S. but I do have strong opinions on it. I think that at that point in our political structure, and how are country was going, it was needed, I think that as the American people, we were excersising our right as the people to diminish a corrupt government. Those people went and took over the capitol because they truly believed corrupt acts were going on within the capitol and were doing what was needed to be done to stop it, diminish it, and rebuild it. I think that what the people did that day was a show how much the people of our country care about our country, and the lengths we will go too abolish corruption within it.

  • I think Janurary 6th was a very violent day for people. I feel like people were just very angry and they did everything in the heat of the moment. I feel like like the people could have done something that was not as bad as this. Now some people did the right thing and came peacful to roit while others did the complete opposite.I disagree with Trump's pardon. People knew what they were doing was very ilegal and they still did it. They deserved what they got becaus what they did was completely wrong. I get that they were angry and that they wanted to feel heard but they did not have to go this far, they just took it way to far. People need to respect police officers and not assualt them. They were just trying to do there jobs, they should have had way more officers on duty. That is why I disagree with his pardons.

  • I believe that the January 6th riot shouldn't have happened. Sure the law enforcement could have been more prepared thing couldn't have gotten out of control. But they were many injurys that injured people, tramutized them to the point where they took their own lifes, and even death. The people that stormed the capital had to be arrested because they were assaulting law enforcement, breaking into the capital, and sending death threats to the senators, represtatives, and the vice president. Just because the election didn't go the way you wanted it to doesn't mean you have to riot and injury people to at the point where they can die. I also disagree with Trumps pardon, if you were breaking the law during that riot you deserve to serve some time. You broke government property and harmed people, you don't deserve to walk away free. You need to serve the time because you broke many laws.

  • I agree with Trumps pardons, I think that it is a good thing to give them a secong chance. They were fighing for what they believe in. They might not of gone about it in the right way, but they were still finghting for what they believed in. Not all of the people that were sent to prison, were actually as involved as their charges say they were. Some people just went along for the ride, but got caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. I think that Trump should not have influenced them to do it after his speech. This just made them even more angry, and want to do this even more. I could tell that they all had accepted what was going to happen to them, because they had said that they believed in the police, and that the police were not staying true to their oath.

  • I believe that the January 6th protest was completly fine and it needed to happen. The law enforcement near the white house violated everyones 1st amendment which is the freedom of protest. I get that the police were trying to buy the senators time to get to a safer place. One thing that I believe is that the protesters took the protest a little to far with beating up the officers. The police was just doing their job and what they were told by their chief. One of the officers killed a women who wasn't even a threat to him and none of the officers should've had a gone pulled out in the first place. None of the protesters had a fire arm in their hands so that act by that officer was completly uncalled for. Trump pardoning was great for everyone involved on January 6th. Everyone with a heavy sentence had an unfair trial, with multiple people having over a 15 year sentence. Giving someone a 15 year sentence should be for something like murder. Some may say that this protest was bad for the republican party but I would have to say that the BLM and LGBTQ protest witht the liberals was way worse.

  • I think that January 6 has been blown up way too much by the media. While it was a chaotic day the way it has been portrayed makes it seem worse than it truly was for the people involved. Many of the people who were in the capital on January 6 were protesting and showing how mad they were with the election results, which is a right for American citizens. However, some people crossed the line, and instead of protesting, they turned to violence. I think that the people involved in harming officers and damaging property should still be held accountable and face some charges. This is why I think President Trump should not have pardoned those people who caused harm to law enforcement, but also they should not have to face lifelong consequences for their actions.  In summary, I think January 6 was a very complicated day and has been way overhyped by the media. I also agree with Trump's pardons of the people who were not involved in harming police officers or damaging property. We shouldn't let the media try and silence that there were also citizens peacefully voicing their opinion and as Americans, we should be allowed to do that.

  • I think that January 6th was full of angered and irratated people. In the end they were all people who were every big fans of trump, that got a little to out of hand. I agree with trumps pardon becuase everyone who got charged got punishments that were bigger than the things they did. But at the same time many of those people that didnt get charged with anything did much worse thisng like physically and menmtally hurt the police and they did what they were trying to do in a very worng way. They couldve found a way to riot silently or just not do the things that they did. I think that many people see this day from many different view pionts and everyone has their own opinions.

  • many people have been put in jail just cause of the january 6th attack but they were just doing what the constitution said where they can overthrow the government if they want and that is exactly what they were doing and the police only wanted to stop them so they dont hurt anyone even though many people got injurred they stopped from a lot more people from getting injurred that day

  • January sixth was a very big day in history because 5 people got killed and a lot more injured and I think you know it was completely respectable what they did they should probably have just recounted and that wouldnt have happened because even though they may or may not have stole the votes it is still what they all think and the pardons that trump gave I agree with them because they fought for him and they put their own lives at risk for trump and I think that people do what they do and think what they think .

  • I think January 6th was a very intense and violent day, many people wer left injured, tramatized and some even dead. I completely disagree with Trups pardon to the people that participated in this act. Many people were very violent, and hurt the police, took their equiptment, and left some to commit suicide. I think that if these people were violent, that they cvan act out on other people, and be this violent toward them. For the others who weren't being violent, they still broke in to the capitol, which is completely illegal and I believe if something like this were to happen to trup that he would not be okay with this and he would send them to jail just the same. I also beleive that it is not okay to be that destructive even if you are upset, you should not be breaking windows and doors, throwing things around or going through papers that are not yours.
