Tropical storms are formed by tropical waves, these tropical waves are low-pressure areas that move through tropical areas. These tropical waves fuel and modify the thunderstorms and showers. When these waves move towards the west, the air from the warm oceans will rise, which causes even more air to enter the clouds and thunderstorms. The water condenses in the clouds, forming water droplets which release more heat to fuel the storm.

A Hurricane known as Hurricane Oscar was originally a tropical storm but eventually became a hurricane. This Hurricane is said to set foot in Cuba, and many people in Cuba don't have power so they don't have any idea of knowing if a hurricane will take place. This Hurricane is also supposed to set foot in The Bahamas and eventually veer off into the North. Hurricane Oscar has the smallest storm eye of this year and is a very small hurricane. There is a chance that the smallest amount of wind shear (A change in wind speed/direction) could destroy the hurricane or throw it off course.

I think that tropical storms and hurricanes will continue to grow and will not get thrown off course by wind shear. I think these storms will hit Cuba and The Bahamas and will cause damage, but will not be too devastating due to the size of the hurricane.

Questions:

1.) Do you think wind shear will throw Hurricane Oscar off course?

2.) Do you think the Hurricane will be that serious?

  • Good topic choice madden! Your summary is good nut could be longer. You also should have replied more as well.

  • I think that this hurricane could be way worse than milton was. Becasue if this one is worse than milton that means it will probably take florida away for a little while.

  • I think the hurricane won't be as serious as recent ones but will still be serious if it impacts a region that has already sustained damage. Wind shear could take it off course but even if that does happen they could still have problems with tall waves from the strength of the storm.

  • 1.) Do you think wind shear will throw Hurricane Oscar off course? I think that Hurricane Oscar could be thrown off by wind shear. Hurricanes in the past have been thrown off, and it is one of the littler hurricanes, I believe that it will be thrown off course.

2.) Do you think the Hurricane will be that serious? Any Hurricane is serious. I do think it will be serious but I don't think it will take many lives, if any. It is rare to see a hurricane this little and as it moves towards land it is becoming smaller therfore it shouldn't do major damage.

  • Will the wind shear chang the direction or speed? i really dont think that it will effect it much because if it allready was hitting cuba and the wind shear dident throw it off coures than it most likely wont push it of course now.

  • I don't think that the wind shear will throw the hurricane off course.  The hurricane already hit Cuba, which shows there was no wind shear to disrupt the course of the hurricane. Yes, the hurricane is seroius six were found dead as a result of the hurricane. Many people were left without power and the hurricane is now predicted to go more into the Bahamas.

  • Do you think wind shear will throw Hurricane Oscar off course? I think that all hurricanes should be taken seriously I dont that that it will through it off its cousre a lot. I think thst you should always listen to experts and take every hurraicane serious

  •  Do you think the Hurricane will be that serious? I feel that all huricaness should be taken serusly. however some are a littel bit less strong it still dose damage to familys homes now obvisly the bigger the more damage and if the place gets hit alot they would have better fit houses for huricanes.

  • I don't think the wind shear will throw the hurricane off course. You said the chances are small, and I think the hurricane will hit Cuba. I don't think it will be to bad based off how they have measured it. If does hit Cuba I hope the damage is minimal.

  • There is definitely a chance that the wind shear could throw off Hurricane Oscar, preventing it to miss Cuba and stop possible damages. Due to the fact that the Hurricane is measured to not be that big I do not think that it will be that serious, whether it hits Cuba or not.
