Genetic engineering is also called genetic modification. It is a process that uses laboratory-based technologies to alter the DNA makeup of an organism. This could be changing a single line of DNA taking out a whole system of DNA to get rid of a certain thing Or adding a new line of DNA to alter what you had to make you better. Genetic engineering may involve adding a gene from one species to an organism from a different species to produce a desired trait. They are used in research to change the outcome of cancer or even cure it which would be great for the world. It also can be used for brewing yeasts, genetically modified plants and livestock, and more. Genetic engineering has changed over the years, from cloning for analysis and laboratory use to truly synthetic biology for understanding and new biomedical capabilities. Genetic Engineering was initially thought to be various techniques used for the modification of living things to give them a better chance of survival. Also it could be seen as changing the human race in a bad way. And making us different then we were made.
My opinion I think that we should use more genetic engineering so that we can find out more ways to cure diseases and make the human race better in every way. I think that we could make better people. I think that we could make the world a better place while using genetic engineering.

I don't agree with this statement because i think that we could get a lot farther ahead in life if we would use this. Also I can see wre you are coming from with this because thuis is the way that we are made but we could get rid of many diseases and other things.
I don't think we should do genetic engineering especially on changing our looks because God made everyone fearfully and wonderfully made. I think we need to express ourselves and our TRUE selves, I can see how people would want to use it for curing disorders too though.
1.) I don't think genetic engineering is necessary unless there are people who have disabilities or disorders. This is due to it being beneficial to modify and improve DNA if you have bad disabilities, but if you are healthy, it could give you advantages and could be unfair in sports and other activities.
I think that genetic engineering could help humanity alot. Say someone has cancer, we could possibly take a non- harmful gene from a different organizim to help battle the disease.

I think it is changing the human race in a bad way, people think that they can change things that they don't like, but it's not that simple.
I think this type of procedure should only be used in certain cases because if this was used all willy nilly then we would have a lot of genetic nightmares running around. But I think this could be useful in a handful of sitations such as when it would benefit someone health for the better.
I think this topic is very complicated. For one side I can see how some people would think genetic engineering would be a good thing as we could make people and animals healthy, along with engineering organism to be "perfect". Personally, I do not think this is a good thing because I believe that it is going to far and not how God intended it to be.
I think genetic engineering can be very useful in many ways like you stated, it might help cure diseases and modify plants and crops to make them better. It's definitely changing the way we do things because we can change the DNA in plants, animals and even humans. But this is somewhat bad because we can change the traits that us humans have. This is destroying a part of us that makes us human.
I think that GE is not good and we should not do it. I think that the human race is fine and we shouldnt change it but in other cases like how it could save someones lives and help cure diseases. I think that we should do GE for animals, example animals that are close to extiction.
