Many students deal with mental health problems whether they are small or big. These illnesses include anxiety, depression, and even just being burnt out. The big question is “ does school trigger this?” People who struggle with these problems already, are more likely to have more issues with attending school and keeping up with their mental health.
Academic pressure is a big cause for students to feel this way. Trying to keep grades up, and stay ahead causes anxiety for many. The weight of homework, tests, and overall grades is a big load to keep up with sometimes. It’s likely that these things cause students to feel immense pressure and sometimes freak them out. These academic stresses can leave students feeling overwhelmed and tired.
Social challenges are another big factor in students' lives. Peer pressure, bullying, and trying to fit in. Things like this can hurt feelings and get into their heads. Sometimes it can make them feel lonely and sad. Going through school feeling alone can cause depression and social awkwardness. School is the time of your life when you are supposed to learn how to act around other people, and some students don’t get the chance to interact with their peers. This can cause damage to their lives after highschool as well.
In conclusion there are a few aspects of school that can cause students to deal with mental health problems. Academic pressure and social challenges being the two main focuses. Highschool is a stepping stone in our lives, but can also be stressful. Find ways to get through it and make it more enjoyable. Stress is normal, but don’t let it consume you.

Great topic choice and well done overall Claudia! Are there any postive benefits to school?
I definiitely think school can have a big impact on our mental health. The pressure to perform well, manage social life, and balance extracurricular activities can be overwhelming for many students. It's crucial to address these challenges and promotes a healtheir environment for everyone.
I believe that school does effect mental health. School can be very stressful and exhausting, this amount of stress on teenagers can take a toll on their mental health. I think schools could worry more about students mental health and find a solution to this issue.
School does affect mental health. Anyone in a sport having practice is exhausted when they get home. It's not easy to come home from practice and want to do literally anything. Including a job not having the time to do any homework stresses students out
Yes I think that having extra activities added on top of all of the school work we are given is very exhausting. This is why students become stresses out, sometimes it seems like there isn't time for anything.
I think that school does effect mental health. Especially if that student is in a sport. Balancing time can be a huge struggle and can make people overwhelmed. However, I believe that this can be changed by not having homework. This would allow students more free time and more time for other activities.
I think that balancing time between everything a student has to deal with can become a huge overload. Sometimes students have no time to rest and this defenietly is a cause of mental health problems.
I agree activities can mentally destroy someone. Having homework is a hastle as it already is but being exhausted after practice or work and then having homework ontop of that is rough
I think it can have a effect on many people depending on how they choose to take the situation or what is bothering them. I believe that you can overcome this problem in many ways. I also think that so many different things can casue mental health from school.
Yes there are many factors that can affect a students mental health, but there is also various ways to get through them. Many people are affected, but some less than others because they have better ways to cope.
