The United Nations was formed in 1945, recently after the war. It was to replace the league of nations, it has many orginizations to carry out their missions. There are about 192 member states in the united nations. They have many offices around the world, they all decide on substantive and administrative issues, big words i know!.They have 9 orginizations, General Assembly, Security council, Economic and Social council, Secretarial, International Court of Justice, World Health Orginization,World Food Program, and UNICEF or other wise United Nations Children's Fund. They have many meetings through the year, held to discuss these topics.The united nations has six offical languages, arabic, chinese, english, french, russian, and spanish.
