On September 12, an Indian teen in India lost his leg. Mohammed Salahuddin's leg had to be amputated, according to officials. The reson for amputating, is because he allegedly didn't pay a guard on a train a bribe, to let him sell snacks on the train. Because of the bribe not being paid, the guard got frustrated and threw Mohammed off of the train, landing underneath one of the wheels that sheared his leg to bits.The arrested man denies the allegations. He says that it never happened, but over a dozen eye witnesses saw the man accused do it. The guard was sentanced to jail today. In August, Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh admitted his country was faced with "pervasive corruption"."The malaise of corruption, so sapping of our efforts to march ahead as a nation, should be treated immediately and effectively," Singh warned.
