Today we finished up Mr. Bruns' powerpoint. This started with the magic bullet theory. Supposedly the first shot hit kennedy in the back then came out the neck then hit Connally in the shoulder then the wrist and into his thigh without any damage. This doesn't seem possible which is how the Warren Report says it happened. Also there was the possiblity of a second shooter from the grassy knoll area. The Warren Comission said this was just echos and some kind of cigarette smoke.After the Watergate Scandal people's trust of the government was at an all time low. This was one reason for a lot of people thinking the assassination was a conspiracy against kennedy by the government.The House Select Committee looked at who was the assassin, did they have help, did government agencies have anything to do with it. They said Oswald could have been involved but other people could have been involved also but not groups. Said the same thing as the Warren Report about the three shots. However they used acoustical evidence to say that there were two gunmen who fired at Kennedy. They say that there was probably a conspiracy although they cannot say who it would have been. They say Kennedy was not protected enough against attacks. They say there were four shots and the third came from the grassy knoll.Then we went to one conspiracy theory. To do this you would need to be smart and have some kind of power to see this thing work. It was the three tramps that got arrested and later released. They were found behind the grassy knoll in too nice of clothes for tramps. Two of these guys look like the Watergate robbers. This brings up the question "Is Nixon Involved", he was very paranoid and thought people were out to get him. Nixon went out to destroy the other canidate's reputation so he had to drop out.JFK Act. Mandated that all secret papers about his assassination will be shown to the public.James Files admitted a while later that he was the second gunman. Not many people believe himKennedy and Abe Lincoln were extremely similar in many of their statistics. This is pretty much all we did today.
