Summary 10/6/09

Mr. Bruns talked about the extra credit opportunity on Saturday. Then I finished up my powerpoint presentation. We then did a little bit of a review on 5-1 and 5-2. Then Mr. Bruns talked about more about these sections and some on a different section. The semester test blog has part of this section in it. That would be Understanding the Importance of the Industrial Revolution. He talked about the transcontinental railroad and how they had a competition to get more land.He then moved onto chapter 6-1 Expansion of Industry.What allowed the Industrial Revolution to take off?1. United States had a lot of natural resources.2. Government supported businesses didn't monitor businesses so they could grow.3. Growing urban population provided cheap labor and markets for new products.
