Serena Williams outburst.

Serena Williams was playing tennis in the U.S. open semi-final against Kim Clijsters. Kim was winning 6-5 when Serena was penalized for stepping on the like on her second serve. Serena yelled at the lineswoman who made the call. The lineswoman told the umpire to report the incident. That brought the referee on the court. Serena got a first code violation for smashing her racquet at the end of the first set. After talking with the player , linesperson , and umpire, Serena got a second code violation which gave Kim a point and the game.

Serena faced the press ten minutes after the game. She appeared calm and said that she couldn’t remember what she said to the linesperson. Serena said she does not regret losing her temper. She says that she tries to not live her life with regrets.Kim was very confused by what had happened in the event of her getting the match winning point. She was focused on returning when she was Serena talking to the lineswomen, but she was to far away to hear what they were talking about.

This was Kim’s third tournament since coming out of a 27-month retirement. Kim beat Serena who is usually very good at serving, but during that game got a lot of foot calls. Serena had won seven of her eight previous meetings.
