Today in CWI we talked about swine flu. We talked about how it's not really a big deal but people are making it such a big deal. Mr. Bruns will be gone tomorrow so in class we will work on our europe map tests and our blogs for the week. This week for our blog we have to write about what a failed state is. We also have to read two articles that go along with this and summarize them. The Europe map test is going to be on October 22nd and 23rd. and i really really really need to start studying for that so i dont fail.We talked about ITED's. We will take these on October 20th. If we get in the 70, 80 or 90 percentile range, we get lots of extra bonus points which will help our grade (: Mr. Bruns also told us about a extra credit opportunity at the library. You go and listen to a speaker and take pictures and then write a blog about what they talked about and put the pictures in with it.We also finished our debate today.... FINALLY! We talked about the US role in Iraq. Democrats think we should focus more on Afganistan and send more troops there. I learned that Republicans think that we should just stay there until we win. I'm neautral on this topic. I think we should focus on both wars so then we wont have to worry about any wars. We talked abotu the united nations next. Democrats think that they would help solve the worlds problems. I am super happy the debate is finally over. (:
