Obama's speech

Obama wants all the students to work hard bacause we're the future of this country. He talked about how just because you're in a hard situation doesn't mean that you can't rise up and become who you want to become. We are the future of this country and it's our responsiblity to take our education seriously. These new generations have to find out what they're going to put out there in order to make the country a better place.

I think that this speech was neutral and had very true points to it, things that you can't disagree with. However I don't think this is a speech that the president should be given. Doesn't he have something more important to do? We've been hearing this since we were little, some of us have gotten it and others that haven't probably won't change. This is a speech that a principal should be giving to students, not the President of the United States. This is true though, "You can't drop out of school and just drop into a good job." Work hard, and somehow it will pay off.
