First off I think he had a good message. People were all freaking out about his speech and it turned out to be a good one. There is a few things I do not agree on though.
One is that he did not get the parents approval to speak to us. I think that it is their right to know what their kids are hearing. There are some parents who flat out hate Obama and that is their right. By going behind their backs to talk to their children is taking away their rights.
Also I don't get way he wants us to do lessons after we hear his speak. I know harlan is not but still. No matter how much he speakcs to ua an d how much people tell us teens to stay in school there is always going to be that one kid who drops out. There always have been and always will be. So why make us teens who do want to stay in school do more work. You and I both know that the kids that those lessons were intended for are not going to do them anyway.
I just think that it is a battle that is not even worth fighting because you will never win.
