Today is blog discussion day in history. We discussed free choice blogs, and we then discussed Obama's speech to American students.Obama mostly told students to work hard in school, and not give up on school when it gets hard. He told students that school didn't come easy to him, and he had to work hard as well. He said that even if you are not in the best situation, you should not give up and create something for yourself. He gave examples of children that did not have good situations, either being poor, having cancer, and other things, that worked hard and now are becoming a doctor and going to college.I guess there was lesson plans behind the speech. I didn't know much about this so I can not say much about this topic.
