DISRESPECTFUL! In my opinion Joe Wilson was like this during President Obama’s speech. When Obama denied that our health care plan would provide free health care coverage for illegal immigrants, he shouted, “You lie.” Obama stopped with his speech for a second and looked over in the Republican side of the room to see who said that. I personally don’t think Wilson should have done that at all. I think he should have kept his feelings to himself, but he let his emotions get the best of him. He also shouted out, “Not true” when Obama was talking about funds would not pay for abortions. After the speech the White House chief of staff and some Republican House members assisted him with an apology for his rude outburst to the president. He finally did apologize at 10:30 for his rudeness.Whatever happened to being respectful, agreeing to disagree. What’s happening to our country? The hatred is so vivid; it so scary to think about the direction it’s going. I don’t understand why we don’t just get rid of the parties. I think that would help a lot, maybe the country would not be so divided. Maybe people would just start listening to the person than a Democrat or Republican. Maybe they would vote on the person beliefs and values rather than the party that he belongs too. Something has got to change. President Obama has only been in office for nine months, and it seems as though the country is so torn and that there is so much hatred towards him, I fear that somebody may do something bad to him.I do not agree with a lot of the things that Obama has done. I also know a lot of people that hated George Bush for the things that he did. Even if you don’t agree with Obama or what George Bush did they are still our presidents and deserve that respect.
