we are still doing presentations9uring the late 19th century, immigrants started coming into the country from all over the world for variuos reasons. , nearly 20 million europeons came over for famines job, and land shortages. many immigrants had to pass through Ellis Island, which examined there health for dieses, had enough money, and several other qualifications. Asians started coming over through the Pacific for the gold rush, many found jobs on Hawaii, but the asians where treated poorly. and many people came from south america for mainly work. the Pacific immigrants went through Angel island, which was similar to the East coast's Ellis island, but much harsher conditions to get in, which was due to the fact that they didn't want Asians in.
