AFTHOTWTTF

AFTHOTWTTF, or A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is the upcoming musical that will have your cheeks aching and your eyes glued open.

This year, the cast, crew, and orchestra pit of the musical have worked very hard to bring you a show worthy of your attendance. Practice started in early September and has yet to end. Rehearsing only threee nights a week, the production has come a long way. The performances are Thursday November 6 and Saturday November 8.The story line of the musical is quite complex. Pseudolus, a slave to Hero(the son of Senex and Domina), wants to be a free woman. Hero lives next door to Marcus Lycus, a buyer and seller of women. Hero falls in love with a woman living in Lycus' house. Pseudolus makes a deal with Hero that if she can get him that girl, he will set her free. Of course, complications arise and getting Hero his woman isn't as easy as Pseudolus originally thought.A movie of this musical was also made in 1966.

The cast is as following:Pseudolus - ReNee ReisingHysterium - Chris SchabenErronius - Billy ReinigMiles Gloriosus - Kyle GordonSenex - Jacob HarmonDomina - Hannah KreibelHero - Jeff JohannsenPhilia - Chelsey HavickMarcus Lycus - Matt GriffenTintinabula - Jennifer ArkfeldPanacea - Allison HansonThe Geminae - Bethany PapeThe Other Geminae - Sara PapeVibrata - Christine SchmitzGymnasia - Jenny BjoinSoldier 1 - Jordan SchwerySoldier 2 - Kevin KlineSoldier 3 - Greg ConryI would name the proteans, orchestra pit, and the set crew, but it took me a really long time to list these off and I'm pretty sure doing that would take a lot more time.:) As you can tell from last year's cast(which is basically the same as this year's), it's a fun group who will surely put on a great show.

Of course the most IMPORTANT people in the production are our directors, Ms. Gray, Ms. Thies, and Ms. Sittig.

On behalf of the entire musical, I invite you to come to A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Once again, it's November 6 and 8. I'm not 100% positive but I think the cost is $3 for adults and $2 for students. Activity passes will also be accepted.-Sara
