The Pain of Mortal Batteries

Story time! (See if you can point out the moral!)Once there was a girl named...Sarah. Sarah was a clumsy girl. She dropped things all the time. On top of that, Sarah thought she was a gangsta. For this reason, Sarah wore baggy sweatshirts with jumbo pockets on the front. Also, Sarah had a baby named "Celly Phone" whom she adored greatly. One day Sarah was in the bathroom getting ready to leave the house. She happened to be wearing a big ISU sweatshirt the day after they were brutally beaten by The University of Nebraska. Little baby Celly was sleeping in the jumbo picket on the front of Sarah's sweatshirt when Sarah pivotted sharply.KABLAM! Baby Celly flew right out of the gangsta pocket and into...the toilet!!!! "Ah!!!!" Sarah's screams were heard across town as she frantically retrieved Celly from the loo.Poor Celly was fading quickly...Sarah knew she had to act quickly if she were to save her baby from the terrible fate of "replacement". *Dun dun dun!*Sarah removed Celly's still beating battery as she quickly towel dryed what was left of the babe. Then, Sarah called in the hair dryer to recessitate her fading, flickering child. When the water appeared to be gone, Sarah laid Celly into a comfortable bed of rice to remove any moisture still left. Now, only time would tell Celly's fate.Did you find it? The moral? Well, here it is: never become an Iowa State fan unless you're willing to deal with complete disappointment. But on to the informative part of my blog...What would you do if you were in Sarah's predicament? Here's the do's and don't's of watered down baby:*DO get your phone out of the water ASAP! Even if it's in the toilet. Weird, but if you really love that phone, it must be done.*DON'T leave the phone in water for more than 20 seconds or so. You may cause brain damage.*DO take out the battery as soon as you can. Water + electricity = dead baby.*DON'T forget about drying your phone. It's just as important as the battery*DO towel dry both phone and battery until it's mostly dry.*DON'T use hair dryer on your phone, not even the cold setting. This can blow water farher into your phone and heating gives it an explosive fever. (Sarah didn't know this at the time.)*DO use a vacuum to take away water from the phone. It's more effective and cooler than a hair dryer.*DON'T try to use your phone right away. It's probably not completely dry yet.*DO put your phone in a bag of rice for at least one night. Rice absorbs a lot of the moisture left in your phone. For those of you that learn better with visuals...here ya go: BubbleShare: Share photos - Craft Supplies-Sara
