Staph Infection

Most people have heard that there's a case of staph infection in our school. Yikes, right? I didn't know much about staph infection and you probably don't either so let me fill you in.

Staph infection is short for Staphylococcus. Most staph infections cause the skin to go crazy and get boil-like sores. It's a nasty infection that can be very dangerous. Last year, a student in Virginia died of staph infection when he didn't respond to treatment. This certain kind of staph infection isn't all too common but it can happen to anyone. Now, I don't know about you but I'm going to do my best to keep this bug away from me. I prefer my blinding white, goosebump-covered skin than bacteria infested boil skin. Some things you can do to prevent staph infection are:-avoid sharing clothes(especially PE clothes!)-stay out of extrememly humid places-wash your hands a bajillion times a day or more-run away from people if they have gaping wounds-cover your own gaping wounds-be selfish, don't share(razors, towles, etc...)-drink lots of aterNow go be healthy!
