-What problems did farmers face on the Great Plains?most of the crops were failing.railroads were taking advandatge of farmers by charging excesive prices for storage.railroads were giving land to big businesses instead of farmers.railroads charged farmers high prices to use their railroads.-Who were the Populists and what did they believe in?was also called "the people's party"made up of common people (farmers)it's the common person fighting back at the rich people.founded in Omaha.they wanted to give more power to the common people.they wanted:an increase in money supply causing inflation.a graduated income tax.a direct election of U.S. senators.single terms for presidents.secret ballott for voting.no immigrants. (so they don't take jobs and keep wages low)
