Went over what's on the test Friday and Europe. Western was pretty good, Eastern was not. Continued to go over the powerpoint on Democrats vs. Republicans. Discussed how electoral votes work....basically, its so its fair to the smaller states, which it actually isn't, from what i can see anyways.Republicans believe in laissez-faire system, which i also agree with. Democrats, of course, favor a much more hands-on, let's-fix-people's-lives-for-them, type of government. =( Republicans are also very conservative in many of the issues, whereas Democrats favor staying out of people's lives...See some controversy? The issue of money is huge right now, and Bush didn't help us with that much, but then again, niether is Obama.Abortion: R- no, D- yes. again, because the R. party is conservative, and the D. party is a-ok for change.GunControl: R- no. D- yes.Affirmative Action: R-no, D- yes.\That's as far as we got, and i agree with republicans on the vast majority of these topics....commen sense, dude.
