In Costa Maya, Mexico, I visited the Kohunoich Mayan Ruins. The ruins were built in the 500 A.D. They involve the sunken palace, acropolis, ball court, courtyard, main entrance, and the main attraction of the mask. The mask is 10 ft high of the sun god 'Kinich Ahau'.The marvelous mask still contain some of the original colored stucco. Stucco is fine plaster used for coating wall surfaces or molding into architectural decorations.
