The first actual fair in Shelby County was in 1869. The Shelby County fair has always been a great fair, even back in 1915 the fair book states that it had earned a reputation of "enterprise novelty and originality". The fair has always been a big part of my family's life as well as my great grandparents, grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as siblings and myself.
