Wiener Recall

96,000 pounds of Kraft Food's famous Oscar Mayer wieners were recalled because they had cheese inside of them and had a "classic" label on them. You might feel like this isn't that big of a deal, but some people are highly allergic to cheese and could cause serious problems if they bite into a cheese filled wiener. Kraft was notified of the problem by an Oscar Mayer wiener consumer on Friday. Joyce Hodel said in an email that these wieners were produced in a plant in Columbia, Mo. These wieners were produced early in March and have the number "Est. 537H". If you have any question regarding the matter please contact Kraft's consumer relations department at (855) 688-4386.

Which types of hot dogs do you prefer better, cheese or classic? What would you do if you spent your hard earned money on classic hot dogs and bit into them to discover they contained cheese inside?

  • Good job!!

  • I prefer the classic hot dogs. I wouldn't really care if the hot-dogs had cheese in them when I was expecting classic... I wouldn't be very upset over a few dollars and I'd probably still eat them anyway

    • I'm right there with ya Levi, and honestly, I probably wouldn't even notice the difference.

  • I prefer no cheese. I wouldn't mind if it had cheese though.

    • I prefer cheese wouldn't complain if I got cheese either.

  • I prefer classic. If I had bought one with cheese in it, I would not be that upset because I wouldn't have a allergic reaction to it. But some people might and be very upset.

    • I would rather have cheese but wouldn't complain either way.

    • I like them both so I probably wouldn't even notice.

  • I would rather have classic if that's what I bought. I would not be really upset if they were cheese tho.

    • Eh I don't care, I'll eat both and not complain.
