In Dubuque, Iowa a mother and father weren't watching what their child was doing, allowing him to get hold of a .45-caliber. As he was playing with it the gun went off and the bullet went through his right cheek out his left jaw before entering the shoulder and exiting the back. When police arrived on the scene they say that there were many people inside the home including other children. Police say that he is in stable conditions at the hospital.
What do you think would have happened if one of the other kids got ahold of the gun?

I think the other kids might have also had an accident with the gun and more people would have gotten hurt.
The parents probably would have gotten in trouble even if it wasn't their fault. That is usually what happens in situations like these.
I think that it's a big mistake to leave the gun out in reach of the children. It could have been much worse if one of the other kids have gotten a hold of it!

This is terrible if their are children in your house you need to put anything dangerous eve if you think it isn't dangerous. I think that if their was other kids in the house and got a hold of the gun someone could have been severally hurt or killed. I think that the parents should be put in jail.
They should be in jail for child endangerment. The children don't know any better and they might think it's a game. The parents should have made sure everything was put away before letting their children play.
This is such a neglect because the gun should have never been in a place where the kid could have gotten it. even if the kid is in a stable condition it could have been worst for example it could have hurt the other children, if after this accident happened again with an other kid i would strongly agree with the removal of the kids from the home because that would be an accident anymore it would have been a dangerous environment for the kids. they should probably get a safe for the gun if they want to kid it in a house with young kids.
I agree, the parents were neglecting the children. I think the children should be removed form the home. The parents obliviously can't watch their children. They defiantly should get a safe for the gun or the should get rid of their gun. If other children got the gun things would have been worse for the children and the parents.
I think that this is terrible and that they mother and father should not have the gun in reach of the children. I think the parents could have faced some serious charges and maybe even jail time. If the other kids got the gun, maybe they would actually know that it is dangerous.
I agree the parents are terrible they should have never had that gun in reach they should have locked it away. I would hope the kids knew that the gun was dangerous, so they didn't shoot anything.
