During a question and answer session at school with Miss America a teen asked Miss America to prom. He got a three day in of school suspension for this. He popped the question as he walked up to the stage with a plastic flower. School officials heard about his plan to ask her and told him not to do it. He ignored all of them and continued with his plan.
Why do you think he asked her? Did he just want attention or did he really mean it?

I think this story is really weird. I think he was just looking for a date
You hear about a lot of students asking celebrities to prom and I don't think that this is any different. I think he was hoping she would say yes but wasn't counting on it and did it anyway. I don't think he should have gotten suspended, punished maybe but suspension is too far. And it honestly is just kinda cute, and if I was Miss America, I would be flattered.
I think it was mostly a joke and i think the school officials should get the sticks out of their bums.
I think it was wrong that he was suspended. He really didn't do anything wrong though. It is good that he did get some punishment, because the school officials told him not to do it, but he did it anyway. Hopefully he learned his lesson.

I think he asked her because he thought it would be cool to go to prom with her. He could have done it for attention, or just because he thought it would be fun. It's seems dumb that he got suspended, but if they told him not to do it, then he shouldn't have.
I don't think he needed to be suspended for asking Miss America to Prom. He really didn't do anything wrong. I am sure he just did it for the attention and for something cool to talk about.
