Teen Surprises Mom and Toddler with Good Deed

Megan Shufflebarger, who is a mother of three, was shopping at target with her children. Her youngest daughter, Kinley, was looking for a birthday present since her birthday was coming up. There was one specific doll that she wanted. She stared at it until a young man knelt down besides her and asked her which one was her favorite. She pointed, and the teen smiled and grabbed the doll off of the shelf and walked away. Kinley was disappointed at first until the teen came back with the doll in the bag with the receipt. He wished Kinley a Happy Birthday, and he walked away.

What would you do if someone did this for you and your daughter?

Would you ever consider doing this for someone? Why?

What are your overall thoughts?

I think this is a cool story, and it definitely made the girls day a lot better. If someone did this for me, I would be flabbergasted. Yes, I would do this for someone especially if they couldn't afford it. It would make that person happy, but it would also make me feel better about myself.

  • Great story!

  • I would be thankful with the guy and I would try to pay him even if I don't think he will acept the money. I would do this fo someone.

  • I think that this man who did this is very caring and should be highly respected for his actions. It's nice for him to show that not all teens think about themselves all the time and that they can be caring towards others. I hope that this girl can remember this when she gets older so that she may do this for someone else.

    • I agree with you because many people think our generation isn't all that worthy. With this teen doing this, it makes people think twice.

  • I think it's really sweet that he did this for her. I don't think I would ever even think of this unless the child was sad because the parent couldn't afford it. I think the actions of the boy were really sweet and I'm sure it will be a lasting memory for the boy, the mother, and maybe even the girl.

  • If someone did this for my daughter, I would be extremely grateful and happy to know that good people still exist! I think that if I saw a child in need, I would highly consider doing this. This is a great thing to do and can easily make someone's day, especially around the holidays. I would also feel better about myself, knowing that I made someone's day better!

    • I totally agree with you! If there was a child in need and they wanted a gift, I would buy a gift too.

  • I would be grateful. I might depends on how expensive the item is. It is little things like this that make a difference in the younger generation.

    • I don't think that there would be drugs or a bomb in the doll, but there is always that concern that dwells on parents.

  • I think we need more people like this in the world. I would be happy and I would thank them for doing something so nice. I would definitely do this for someone.
