Swedish DJ Avicii dead at 28

Story:

CNN posted Friday, April 20th that grammy winning artist, Avicii (Tim Bergling), died at the age of 28. Tim was found dead in Muskat Oman. CNN is not allowed to release any other infromation, like the cause of death, and the time. Avicii was a very popular music artist and many people loved his music. Many of his friends said that he was a little to addicited to partying. This could be the cause of death. Avicii retired in 2016 after multiple heath issues. People are thinking that these health issues were also the cause of death. Avicii told the press in 2018 that the illness that he had was indeed caused by drinking. Avicii also was telling the press that he partied way too much but he loved to make music and loved to make art. Avicci (Tim Bergling) will be missed.

Questions:

1) Have you ever listened to this artist?? If so what will you miss most about him?

2) Avicci's family refused to release any information to CNN, do you agree with this or not??

Answers:

1) I have listened to him a little bit. I wasn't really that familiar with him because I don't really listen to his style of music but he was very good so I will miss that.

2) I believe that this is kind of stupid. I know that privacy and everything but the word is going to get out soon so why not just tell everyone now. I believe that CNN should be able to release the information. Just for fans that want to know what happen to Avicii.

  • Good summary but you only commented on one day instead of three.

  • The arist sounds familiar, but I'm not sure if I've listened to any of his music. I think  I have. I think they have the right whether they want to release how he died or not. It's not our decision to decide so we should respect that.

  • I have listened to a few of his more popular songs before, but I haven't listened to him at all recently. I agree with his family's choice to not share the details of Avicii's death because it might be something more personal and they just don't want the press and everyone else to find out about it. I think that maybe the family will give more information at a later date.

  • 1.) There are a few songs of him that I really like and I guess I will miss this type of songs in the future, since he won't be able to produce them anymore. I was not a very big fan of him, so I won't be too sad about his death, but it's still a tragendy.

2.) Yes, I agree with his family. In my opinion it's totally ok to not share such private and personal information with basically strangers to them. I understand the press and his supporters and that they want to know what happened, but they have to accept this decision.

  • I havent ever heard of this guy until now. I think that this isntt the whole worlds news and if this family wanted to keep it to them selfs that is there decsion. They dont have to telll everyone if they dont want to.

  • No, I have not in more of a country person instead of rap, it's not that I don't mind if I would just rather prefer country. I think its there right not to release anything sometimes things are embarrassing so I could understand why they didn't and sometimes some information is not any of the publics business all they need to do is remember his for what he was.

  • Yes i have. This is very sad. I loved his music, i could understand it. I knew what the message was in the song. I will miss his music the most and his personality. His music was something good to listen to. Some artists make music to help them get through things but, their fans also use it to get through what they need to. An artists music can send a very powerful message. Some artists music can save peoples lives. I agree maybe they want all of that to stay private. I see were their coming from. Maybe theres things people just don't need to know.

  • Once, It was a fine song. I feel bad for hardcore fans tho.

They just want to moarn i guess.

  • I believe that they should be allowed to keep the information private. Give the family time to grieve before the whole world goes into a fit and make things worse for the family and friends who are shaken up. They will disclose the information when they are ready to accept that one of their own has passed. It is a sad time for them so give them time.

  • No I have never heard of him before. I guess it is all up to them if they want to release any information or not, but I prefer that they did so that other people know what or who to look out for.
