Kobe's season expected to be over

On Friday Kobe met with team doctor Steven Lombardo in Los Angeles. Lombardo found a tear in the rotator cuff in his right shoulder. This tear happened on wensday night during the Lakers and new Orleans game. Kobe is expected to be done for the year due to his injuries.  Lakers coach Byron Scott says he is worried because Kobe has a one year left for 25 million dollars.

Do you think Kobe is going to retire at the end of his contract? Why or Why not?

When do you think Kobe will fully recover from this injury?

  • Pretty good job overall. Be sure to comment more regularly. I also think your second question is a bit week as it asks students something they really have no idea about.

  • I think that Kobe will play as long as his body will let him, that may be next year, or even more. He will want to play at the end of the season if they are in playoff contention but you never know, he will definitely play next season.

  • I think Kobe is becoming an old man and should retire. He's had a good run, and probably won't make it to the finals again so he should just hang up the jersey and be done. As old as he is, it's becoming harder and harder for him to recover from all these injuries.

  • All I here is Kobe this Kobe that from some of the guys at are school. Yes Kobe is very good but soon he's gonna turn into a Brett farce, get out why your on top!! I defiantly think he will retire at the end of his contract and if he doesn't hes just gonna be washed up. I also think his injury will take him out for the remainder of the season. He's not so young anymore he's  old and needs more time to heal.

  • He has had his glory. He is just getting hurt to easily and it would be best for him just to retire. They said he will most likely be out for the rest of the season but I think that he will recover from this injury just before the end of the season.

  • Kobe has been going for a long time now, he's been playing for longer than I've been alive, and he should probably retire. Plus, is contract is still worth 25 million dollars for this season alone, so he's all set for the future. He'll recover, but that won't make him young again ...

  • I wouldn't know when he would recovery i'm not familiar with that kind of injury. I think he will continue his career and finish out his contract.

  • He should retire, he is old and he is only going to be a worse player from here on out and it's not like he needs more money. I'm sure he'll fully recover at some point and play basketball for many years, but I don't think that will be in the NBA.

    • I also believe he should retire because it seems like right when he gets back he gets injured again.

  • Kobe may say he will leave but ultimately i do not think he will due to the fact that he is one of the best and i think it may take awhile.
