The legal age to drink is 21. In 1984 they changed the legal age to drink from 18 to 21. I believe that it should be lowered back to 18. In the United States you are considered a legal adult at 18years old, you can vote, join the military, are expected to pay your own bills but you can't drink. I believe that if you are considered an adult at 18 you should be able to have a drink.
In many other countries such as Austria, Belgium, and Denmark the legal drinking age is 16 and in Columbia, Australia, and Costa Rica the legal drinking age is 18. Most other countries have their legal drinking age lower because that is when a person is considered to be an adult. Yes in a sense lowering the legal drinking age could be risky considering drunk driving and other things but either way most 18 thru 21 year old already drink so ultimately it's up to the person if they choose to drink and drive.So I believe that is the legal drinking age should be lowered to 18 because that's when you are no longer considered a child.

Yes, I think the legal drinking age should be lowered to 18. Because, your an adult and if your able to be drafted you should be able to leagally go out and buy a beer. There are some down sides to thins though. Such as students being 18 and still being in highschool going out to bars on there open campus. But thats an easy fix just have the bars not allow highschool student.
I think that it should be 18 when you should be able to drink. I do not know anyone that has drake when under the age of 18. I think that if you want to drink at this age then it is your choice just be smart about it and dont get caught. I also think that you shouldn't because of some reasons.
Yes, being 18 is an adult. So ultimately at 18, you should be able to drink. You just have to be smart about it. I do know people who drink that are not 18, and they're smart when they're under the influence of it. They don't drive, and they certainly don't do anything they shouldn't be doing.
I think that the drinking age is fine where it is at. It doesn't matter that much because kids will always find a way to get their hands on alcohol. If they lowered the age, then it would only cause more problems. No, I don't know any underage drinkers.
I think that it wouldn't be the best idea to lower it because I would be a senior being able to bring a drink to school and nothing would happen and kids could get drunk whenever as a senior and wouldnt focus. I have no problem if they do change it. I do not know any underaged drinkers.
I am not against 21 drinking age nor 18. I think lots of kids get in trouble for underage drinking. You also cant say people arent mature and responsible at 18 because there are a lot of older people who are bad at drinking and driving and doing bad things.
I personally think that the having the legal drinking age at 21 is fine how it is. I think that lowering it any lower would cause more problems than it would solve. I think that 18 is simply too young for people to make wise decisions while under the influence. Their brains and bodies are not developed enough.
Personally I think that the legal age is fine how it is. People should know the dangers and consequences of alcohol, some people do drink responsibly and so think they are invincible. But I know if the government moves age to older people they will want it more.
I think that the legal drinking age should be 18-21 depending on the state law and what the state decides. It really dosent matter beacause either way kids are going to drink no matter legal or illegal. Kids have their sorces of buyers for them to drink.
