Is the Bermuda triangle real?

There have been many planes, ships, and people gone missing over the bermuda triangle also known as the devil's triangle. The bermuda triangle is located in the western part of the North Atlantic ocean. The triangle reaches from Miami to San Juan( Puerto Rico) to Bermuda (Greater Antilles). It is to be believed that more than 50 ships and 20 airplanes have gone missing over or around the bermuda triangle.

There have been reports of unexplained occurrences, going back to the 19th century. Some ships and airplanes were discovered with nothing wrong with them and others there were no distress signals transmitted and were never seen or heard from again.

No one knows why the ships and planes have gone missing without a trace. But some people believe the reason why they have gone missing is because of “rogue waves” which are waves that are huge waves that can reach up to 30.5 meters (100 feet). Theoretically that could easily be powerful enough to destroy any ship or airplane that was low enough.

In 1945 when flight 19 went missing they sent out a search crew of 5 U.S navy bombers no one on the flight or the navy bombers were ever found or heard from again.

I believe that the bermuda triangle is real and that the waves that can go up to 30.5 meters (100 feet) is the reason that these people, ships, and airplanes have gone missing. I can not prove that the bermuda triangle is real or that the waves are why things have gone missing, but it would make sense of these unexplanable occerances.

Questions:

Do you think the bermuda triangle is real?

If you don't, where do you think all the things have gone?

If so, why do you think all the things have gone missing?

Would you ever fly over the bermuda triangle?

  • Great topic choice and well done Allison! Be sure to comment back on three different days.

  • I think the Bermuda Triangle is real because how would all this stuff just randomly disappear in the exact same location multiple times? I think the cause of the things going missing is either an animal or bad waves and storms destroying ships and sinking them. I wouldn't fly over it just because its and extra risk.

    • I agree because it would make since if it waves waved or an animal

  • I mean it has to be real I mean how could stuff just randomly disappear in the ocean for no reason. Im pretty sure everything has gone missing because of possible storms, big waves, any of those things can make this stuff disappear.  I wouldn't fly over it because it isn't worth the risk.

  • I think it is real, but it is because I had heard that in that area there was a type of magnetic stones which pull planes and ships to the bottom of it, but it could also be because of the waves. I would never dare cross over that place.

    • That makes since and i wouldnt wanna fly over it ether.

  • I think that is it mostly real, I just think that some of the conspiracies are fake. I think it can be the waves and the weather that can cause these ships and planes to go randomly missing. I personally would never go near the traingle, but I also think it would be cool to fly very high over it to see what it looks like.

  • I don't think the bermuda triangle is real, it just doesn't seem possible for people and things to just suddenly go missing when they go by a certain spot. I think that people just so happened to have gone missing there. I would fly over the bermuda triangle because I think some people have just got unlucky when given the opportunity.

  • I think that it is real but, some of the conspeiracys are fake. I do not really think the things went missing I think there could be a trench there because only a small part of the ocean has been explored. I would fly over it if I did not relise I was flying over it.

    • That makes since beacuse not all of the conspeiracys can be real.
