History Of Pheasants Forever

Pheasants forever is an organization that was founded in 1982 by a group of passionate hunters and conservationists who saw a declining population of pheasants. They believed by working together they could make a big difference in the conservation of these birds.

One of the main goals was to create and maintain habitat for the pheasants and other wildlife. They do this through various initiatives like land acquisitions, habitat projects, and partnerships with landowners. By improving the habitat it will grow the pheasant population.

They don’t only do habitat management though. They also do education and outreach programs to engage the public and promote conservation awareness. They organize events and youth programs to inspire the next generation

I think that this is a great program for engaging people and teaching others about conservation and wildlife management.

    • Ya it is pretty fun when you get to see birds. I also think this is a great organization to help the next generation and maintaining habitat for the birds to keep them around.

  • Yes, my Dad, brothers, and my sister enjoy pheasant hunting. It's enjoyable when you get something. I think the only downside is after hours of walking around corn fields and bean fields, your legs get tired and you want to go home. Especially when it's super cold out. I have eaten pheasant it tastes like chicken and yes I would eat it again.

    • I agree it can get pretty tired after walking around for a while. The meat is also pretty good as well.

  • I have never hunted pheasant before although I have had people ask if I possibly would want to. I have not tried pheasant before but it does sound like it could be good. I did know about this organazation before I read your post.

    • Yes I have to say that the meat is pretty good. If you ever had the chance to go it is pretty fun.

  • My dad and brothers enjoy going to phesents forever because they like to eat food and find other people that like phesent hunting. I do not like phesant hunting, but my stepbrother, Carson really enjoys going phesent hunting and showing off his new catch.

  • I have gone pheasant hunting before. It is very fun! Having dogs to go with make it so much easier and better, because you have to worrie less abt covering ground. I have also tried pheasant, their meat like a lot of birds is close to the taste of chicken, but the meat is very good.

    • I agree, having dogs make it easier and way better. I also agree that the meat is pretty good to.

  • I have not ever been pheasant hunting before and I do not want to go pheasant hunting. I have not heard about the organization before reading this. It's nice how all these pheasant hunters get together.

  • I have not ever pheasant hunted before and I do not plan on going pheasant hunting. I have heard about this organization before, before reading this. It's cool that all of these pheasant hunters get together and teach people about conservation and wild life management.
