High School Boys Save A Woman's Life

On Thursday a Susan Gentry was crossing the street when she was hit by a truck after pushing her daughter out of the way. The truck's tire was on her chest suffocating her. Mark Gentry and  others ran to help but they couldn't lift the several thousand pound truck. He called out for help and four Bishop Moore Catholic High School football players, who just so happened to also be on the weightlifting team, ran over and lifted the truck up long enough to pull susan to safety.

  • You didn't comment to any one and that is worth 20 points. Your summary is also a bit brief.

  • She definitely would have died of suffacation. I think that is amazing that they helped save her. We need more people like that in society. If I were there I'm obviously not going to be able to help lift the truck so I would call 911 and maybe see if there was anyone else to help with the rescue.

    • I also think it's amazing that she pushed her daughter out of the way in order to save her. Even though it was putting herself in danger. That is very brave and courageous and I wish more people were like that. I'm just glad that this women is okay and that the football players as well as other people were there to help her.

  • I think that she definitely would have suffocated if the football players weren't there to help her. If I was at the scene, I would have tried to find some sort of way to help without lifting the truck because I couldn't do that and I also wouldn't want to be in the way of the other people lifting the truck.

  • I think that if the football players had not been there the women would have fatally suffocated and there would be another tragedy. If I was there, I know i wouldn't have been able to lift the large vehicle, I would have called 911 and seen if there was anything else I could do.

  • She would have died, she would have been crushed to death and been in very bad shape if she didn't pass away. I would have tried to do the same thing the football players did. If that didn't work I would have tried getting into the vehicle and driving it off her.

  • 1. I think that if the boys were not there that the woman could've died. I also think that someone could've came and saved her.

    2. I would have tried to help as much as possible. I would call 911 or get a group of people to help.

  • I think this is crazy and I think she would have been crushed to death. There is no way I would have been able to lift it but I would have called and yelled for help and stayed by her side.

  • She would have suffocated to death from all the weight of the truck on her. I myself would have also tried to help save her even though I probably wouldn't be strong enough its the thought that counts.

  • I think that if the boys weren't there that Susan probably would have died because there wouldn't have been enough time to save her. If I was there I would try to help lift the truck off of her and to call the police to get her help.
