Do extracurricular activities benefit students

Extracurricular activities help students shape themselves into the people they want to be. Extracurricular activities help students with time management, exploring their talents, personal growth and development, confidence, and social skills, and keep them out of trouble. Sometimes students need stability in their life lives be successful in the future. If they have some sort of stability, they have the reassurance that they can do whatever they put their minds to.

Some people believe that extracurricular activities leave no time for homework, social life, and time at home with their families. This has been proven untrue and there are more benefits than anything. Studies have shown that being involved in extracurricular activities gives some students a more positive outlook on school. They also encourage students to find things they truly enjoy, this can help them to become more confident in themselves, helping them in the future.

I think that extracurricular activities help students in the long run. They help give students structure and stability which is a necessity in daily life. They need this so they can see how the real world works. In all, they prepare students for what life will be like outside of school after they're done. Many students will tell you they benefit from participating in activities.

  • Great topic choice and well done overall Kasey!  I do think you could have talked about the history of hoiw extra curricular activiites were added to school as well as specific data on why its good to have.  It was posted a bit late and be sure t ocmment three different days.

  • I personally participate in a couple of extracurricular activties. Such as football, wrestling, and track. I think being involved in extracurricular activities such as sports, clubs, or arts is a great way to help students prepare for their future. It not only involves them more in the school, but it also improves their socialization skills.

  • I do participate in extracurricular activites. I participate in sports, musics, and clubs. I think that extracurricular activites do benefit students. They allow students to socialize with their friends. They can also help prepare students for the future in multiple ways. It always them to figure out want they want to do in the future and could even help with scholarships.

  • I participate in extracurricular activities such as sports and music. I think that extracurricular activities are beneficial to students because it gives them an opportunity to socialize with people and grow into the person that they want to turn out to be in the future. Extracurricular activities can be used as an opportunity to see if an activity is something that you want to do in the future.

    • I completley agree with the fact of if you cant manage doing extra curriculars then you should just quit and keep your grades up and then as you get older if you can handledoing extras then join them back.

  • I think that it really just depends on the person. If they know they might have stuff at home, don't do extracurricular stuff. Though your life might be a little boring, because along with extra stuff you also can meet new people, do activities, ect.

  • Extracurriculars are something you are willing to join. If someone has a problem with needing to get their homework done they shouldn't join the extracurricular. I think they're great and help with you future. As someone who is in extracurriculars I found it to be beneficial and help me for future goals.

  • I think extracurricular classes are a good thing because, for kids who like doing whatever it is, it makes it easy for them to participate and have fun with friends. I also think they should not be required because some kids would rather go to work.

    • I complety agree with that fact it should all be up to the student if they want to join these activities.

  • I participate in lots of extracurricular activities because I think it is good to participate in clubs and organizations to have more oppourtunities and activities to do. They benefit you because you can practice your skills and become better at a sport or activity.
