The unfortunate news was let out today, January 9, that actor and comedian Bob Saget passed away. Born on May 17, 1956, Bob was 65 years old and had 3 children; Aubrey, Lara, and Jeniffer Saget. His family as well as everyone else is sad to hear about the passing of America's dad. As many people know, his nickname comes from his well-known role as Danny Tanner on Full House. The part he played as a father on the show was a great standpoint for television and there isn't going to be another show quite like it; especially now that he's passed.
He played Danny Tanner in Full House AND Fuller House. He was an actor as well as a comedian and he set the scene for his comedy career after he went on HBO's Entourage and showed what his humor was really like. He went on tour for his comedy and it's known as a dirty comedy, but tons of people came to see it on tour. He was actually found in a hotel after one of his shows on tour. Something that made it even more sad was that he posted on Twitter, shortly before his death, how much he missed being on tour and performing for people. He also narrated in How I Met Your Mother.
In general, it's just really sad to hear and it affects so many people because of the mark he and the family on Full House made on television. It's just going to be different now that he has passed.

I think he deserves the name yes. Although I loved him and watching his show, it saddens me that he was part of sexually assualting children. I think that he had real talent and was a nice person to work with, but he was not known for good things. I have seen every episode of both shows. I did not like Fuller house as much though. I think the show helped shape television because it was a funny family show that encouraged healthy family bonds.
I believe that Bob Saget should have the honor of having the nickname of America's dad because he was seen as the dad on Full and Fuller house. Shows that most teenagers including me have seen and loved. Bob was viewed as a very humorous guy. He would always make the crowd laugh during his comedian acts as well as on the television shows he was on.
Yes, I think that he does deserve to have the name America's dad because full house has been around for so long. So then I feel that people knew him as America's dad through the years. I feel like he was such a role model to everybody that watched the shows that he was on. I feel that some peole may have looked up to him as a role model through the years. Yes, I watched but Full House and Fuller house and I enjoyed watching both shows.

Yes, I believe he deserves the name. He was an Icon and was a perfect role model of a father figure for families at home. I believe a lot of people took it to heart when he died. People had an emotional connection with him through the show. I watched both Full House and Fuller House.

Bob Saget was a very great dad to the twin girls and different family members.
