Baby Trapped for 3 Days

Jason Fields, aged 43, was home alone with his 11 month old daughter (Billy Jean Kelly). He was on his laptop when he suddenly collapsed onto his daughter, it was later discovered that Jason had a long medical history and had gone into cardiac arrest and passed away before he even fell on his daughter. Fields's son was coming home from a relative house that evening and discovered his father on his bed, he then went back to his relatives and said to them "I think my daddy is dead." The relatives then drove the boy back home to discover that he was right, when the police arrived they discovered the  baby wedged under the fathers bloating body. The child had blisters and sores on her from being trapped on the bed for so long, and she was dehydrated. She was airlifted to University Health Shreveport for treatment and will be released soon. The children's mother Robin Kelly was in jail at this time, and with less than 2 weeks on her sentence left she was granted early release to take care of her children.

What would you do if you came home and discovered your father dead?

How would you react if a little boy told you that he thought his daddy was dead?

  • My first thought would be he is sleeping but if I found him dead I would freak out.

  • I would probably freak out and be really sad! And I would try to comfort the little boy as best as I could and try to figure everything out.

  • I would probably freak or go into shock out if I came home to a dead loved one, after my panic attack I would call emergency services. It would be about ten times worse if a little boy came up to me and said that.

  • I would be very sad. I would go check it out also then call the police just like they did.

  • I would feel really sad and wouldn't know what to do with myself. I would ask the little boy some questions
