Airlines want to drop covid-19 precautions on planes, and many people are concerned if it is the right time. Many are also wondering if it the right thing to do, due to covid being unpredictable as seen in the past. Some days it can get better and then back to bad.
The article states that “the CEO of one of the leading airlines this week sent a to letter the White House urging the Biden administration to rescind pre-departure testing and vaccination requirements for international travelers and drop the federal mask mandate on flights, arguing that the measures are no longer necessary as coronavirus infections drop sharply across the U.S.” They say this because they do not believe that it relates to what is going on now.
It might be too soon to change things back to normal some say. I believe that the fear is that if we relax the restrictions it might cause cases to go up, and then thy may feel the need to reinstate them due to rising cases. I think that it is just too soon to tell at this point if we should lift the restrictions or not. I believe we should keep the restrictions for now (just to be safe).

It's a fine topic but we have a tons of stories on COVID so due to this, no extra credit. Your summary is well written but a bit brief overall. Good job replying to people!
I think at this point they might as well just lift the restricitions. I think that is people would personally like to wear masks or do certain things then that is up to them. I think that everyone is just over all of the guidelines and stuff and just hoping for normal.
I think that they should lift restrictions, and make masks optional. it is time. If you can do anything without wearing a mask, why should flying be any different? It would save them time and money if they would get rid of the restrictions. but at the end of the day, it is up to them.
I feel like we should lift restrictions and just make masks and things like that optional. covid is long overdue and caused quite the stop in our daily life long ago. Obviously, it's a lot better now we should at least lift the mandates on planes with fewer people.
I think that we should lift all travel ristrictions from covid 19 because it is long overdue to get ride of the restrictions caused by the virus. The corona virus caused way to much incovienience to daily life and it is time that everything goes back to normal before the pandemic.
I think this is a hard topic to agree on because some people don't believe in the vaccine, whereas others want it mandated for everyone. I think they should be able to drop it by now, but they would probably see fewer people travelling if they do because of people's opinions on the vaccine.
I think that air lines should drop their COVID mandates. If you want to wear a mask than wear one. We should not be forced to wear mask when we can go watch the Super Bowl and not wear one. The air line restrictions are just hurting their bussiness and the sooner they take them off the more people will want to travel.
I think that we can begin lifting restrictions on some flights, but keep requiring masks on larger flights with a lot more people at risk. I think that after a few months of lightened restrictions on covid safety, we could start to make masks optional on all planes.
I feel that having those restrictions on planes is kind of helpful because you are in a small enclosed space for a few hours at a time. Which can allow Covid to spread to multiple people in the plane. I feel that it may be a little early to tell if it is safe to lift the restrictions off of planes. I feel that once the number of Covid cases goes down then they can start to think about lifting the restrictions. However I feel that the restrictions should stay in place for now just to be safe.
