The Air Force resurrected a plain nicknamed Ghost Rider from the bone yard. the bone yard is a dry dessert where plans are stored and scrapped for parts once decommissioned. Ghost Rider is a 53 year old B-52 bomber with 8 engines, tail number 61-1007. This is the first B-52 to be resurrected from the bone yard till date. the Ghost Rider was resurrected because of a cockpit fire during a maintenance run. the fire did so much damage that it was accentual cheaper to fix up Ghost Rider than the other bomber. The plane is expected to return to duty early next year. Ghost Rider has already reported one 1000 mile test flight with no problems
Why do you think the Air Force is using these plane rather than new one? and do you think Ghost Rider will be successful?

because these planes were some of the best that America has ever created. I believe that Ghost Rider will be a success.
I think that this plane was probably a great plane in it's day and they just want to see if it still works. I think that the plane will work with a few kinks fixed.
I personally think the only reason they ar using this plane instead of a new one has to be cost. I mean are country's debt has skyrocketed and we need to find ways t cut cost. I think this machine will be successful and that's if it ever even sees actual fire.
I think that the Air Force is probably doing this to save money and use resources we already have. I think the Ghost Rider could be successful, but they need to make sure that it is safe and up to date.
I think its a good idea there reusing resources,which well save money money and materials.yes i think it well be successful if they give it some tune ups.
It is a good idea to try to save a little money. But dont be to cheap because that's when stuff starts breaking and people get hurt. I dont know what the plane will be used for but i hope it does something with ISIS.
I think the air force is making due because of the budget. I think it will be successful.
Yah And I think of it kind of like recycling why but with the plan being so old they will have a lot of updating to do.
