Above Average Genius Kids

All around the world there are countries filled with talented students. These eight though, are beyond talented. All of these students are under the age of 20, yet have been creating life changing inventions; and making discoveries for many years. A ten year old from the United Arab Emirates, Adeeb Alblooshi at the age of six created a prosthetic leg by himself. Another genius is an American, Tony Hansberry. Tony through school and his personal studies created a new medical stitch for hysterectomies, at age 14!  A student from Maryland, Jack Andraka was 14 when he began his work on creating a low cost detection system for pancreatic cancer. These students have won up to $75,000 for their discoveries and creations! On top of that they are truly helping out our world in the medical field. It's amazing what dedication and hard work can do.

I think that this story is very inspiring. These kids had to have been with natural smarts, I'm pretty sure more than I was born with! Regardless of what we are born with though, this shows how far hard work can go. Some of these kids spent four years on accomplishing their creations. We as students should look up to these kind od people, and set goals to our level to accomplish! What are some of your goals you want to accomplish? Are you planning to try and work harder this school year?

<strong>Adeeb Alblooshi</strong>, a 10-year-old inventor from the United Arab Emirates, created a waterproof prosthetic leg for his father when he was six.                              <strong>Tony Hansberry</strong>, 20, developed a new medical stitch for hysterectomy patients, at 14.                                  When he was 15, <strong>Jack Andraka</strong>'s low-cost test for pancreatic cancer won him the 2012 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair's top prize.

  • Yes I plan on trying harder this year. Goals having good grades this year so I can get into a good college. So in the future I can have a successful career and job that I like to do.

  • I want to work harder this year. Some of my goals evolve around my grades. I want to improve my grades and try harder. In the next four years of high school, i will have to work as hard as i can to keep my grade point average up that way i can go to college and get a good job.

    • That is the same with me. I hope you follow through:)

  • Yes I plan on working harder on studying and everything in school this year. There is no reason people should not try in school there are many people than don't have as many opportunity's as you do or has a medical problem. You should be happy you can create goals for yourself and work hard in school! Everybody should challenge themselves and create goals.

    • I agree with you totally. People don't realize how well they have things in life. If they would try they could succeed and be successful in life where others can't get the chance that you have.
